We all know that there's only ever going to be one winner in a fight between Jason Statham and a giant prehistoric shark, but I have to say that this was better than I was expecting!

British caper
An excellent well edited caper involving boxing, extortion, and aggravated armed robbery.

May take a few watches to fully understand the flow of events.

Brad Pitt's portrayal of an Irish con man is phenomenal.

Goofy is the best word to describe this movie. It wasn't terrible, but I found it a little too comical to be taken seriously. I'm not sure what the intention was with the film, Jason Statham seemed to have fun with his goofy role. The film was completely predictable, and there wasn't one thing that was original or new.
The ending was especially comical for me, Statham VS Meg, in the water was so out of the realm of realism. But, it was amusing.

Crikey Mate Thats A Huge Shark
The Meg- is a great movie, i dont why people dont like it. I liked it alot. It reminded me of "Jaws", "Jurassic Park" and "Deep Blue Seas". All, yes all great movies. You have Jason Statham vs. a shark, what better can you get. Jason fucking Staham vs. A fucking shark, i mean a Meg. Its what we all been waiting for. I watched this movie, for the first time last year and like it said i really liked it. The action, the shark, some of the plot, and of course Jason Statham.

The plot: Follows a group of scientists who encounter a 75-foot-long (23 m) megalodon shark while on a rescue mission at the floor of the Pacific Ocean.

If you havent seen this movie, than see it. A good popcorn movie to watch. You will have fun watching it.

Great!
I have a weird obsession with the megalodon and I had high hopes for this film. I enjoyed mostly everything although I do think it could of had abit more done to it I don't know how to explain it. The characters were amazing and Jason Statham is an amazing actor they made the right choice casting him!

Better-than-you'd-expect crime drama built around the closest thing to an actual acting performance Jason Statham has ever given. Statham plays the usual honourable but dangerous leg-breaker, but on this occasion the focus is more on who he is and why he does what he does than the incidentals of the plot.

That said, the script is sympathetically written (Statham doesn't have to cry or emote too much) and he's well-supported by a bunch of other people. There aren't as many action sequences as usual, but when they do come along they are top bracket. In the end it's an interesting combination of character study and violent thriller; my fondness for J-Stat may factor into why I found it fairly agreeable, though. An interesting change of pace for Mr S if nothing else.

Jurassic Shark
Megashark vs Jason Statham movie has its moments but suffers a bit from lacking a clear sense of what it actually wants to be: family-oriented disaster movie, cheesy B-movie fun, or special effects blockbuster. Some people get stuck at the bottom of the sea, top diver (Statham) is recruited to get them out; in the process an enormous prehistoric shark is unleashed.

Actually feels a bit like one of those ultra-calculated Chinese blockbusters we are beginning to see (cf. Skyscraper); perhaps this explains why it is always just a bit too bland and clean to really succeed. You can easily imagine Dwayne Johnson starring in this instead. Statham manages to bring his own brand of nuttiness to the affair, far outshining the rest of a pretty nondescript cast. Script is predictable, special effects are okay, ending is unexpectedly inventive. More fun than it sounds.
