Not sure what people were expecting. Certainly not Jaws or a classic horror movie. More like a cheesy Godzilla movie in the water. Some of it was implausible, cheesy or stupid dialogue. The CGI wasn't bad mostly, but a few parts felt very fake.
I'm sure my expectations were low based on what I heard beforehand; however, don't get me started on comparing movies to books. That is a lost cause.

Very much Bond as a thing unto itself, i.e. a swaggering, effervescent fantasy. First-class fights and chases, lavish sets and set-pieces, takes itself just seriously enough when it really has to (although Bond himself is almost intolerably smug and patronising for much of the film). Main villain is a bit weak but Richard Kiel virtually steals the movie as henchman Jaws. Maybe not Moore's best Bond, but one of his most characteristic; very entertaining too.

The plot: Follows a group of scientists who encounter a 75-foot-long (23 m) megalodon shark while on a rescue mission at the floor of the Pacific Ocean.
If you havent seen this movie, than see it. A good popcorn movie to watch. You will have fun watching it.

This film was frustrating and confusing. So much screaming and really unlegit conversations. Then the end went crazy with multiple escapes from the jaws of a shark...
The oxygen levels only were relevant at certain plot points and so were a pointless tension tool they never used.
The random strong current and the way the sharks just popped up out of no where when there was no way they could have got into those areas was eye rolling.
There was also no other fish at all which is strange since where the hell are the sharks getting there food.
This was trying to be a weird slasher movie, replaced with a shark.. trying to be too serious and then throwing out the most ridiculous ending...
I was so surprised to find out this was a sequel XD
