Seductive Sparrows!
I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sincerest apologies for not posting last week guys but sometimes university dissertation has to take priority you know?

Anyway, I have a killer book review today with the movie adaptation releasing on the 1st of March. The movie 'Red Sparrow' stars Jennifer Lawrence, ultimate baddest bitch of all time, alongside Joel Edgerton, Jeremy Irons and Matthias Schoenaerts.

I would always always advise you read the book before you watch a movie adaptation because I feel like you get more context and detail but thats just my biased view in favour of books :)

On a family holiday Jeremy takes his son out for the day. His marriage isn't doing too well and he's been having an affair, which triggers a sequence of events when his son finds something unexpected...

Rag Doll is a short story that plays with the reader as much as with the characters, in the same way a cat will play with an unfortunate mouse. This is a quick read but Scarberry uses the format well, in essence providing a sketch of the story and getting the reader to fill in the details.

Hard to say more without giving anything away. But definitely worth a read. Very thought provoking.

This movie... This whole plot... I don't even know what to say or where to begin. It's just bad. I like Matthew Goode, I've seen him in other things that are great and Amy Adams obviously is incredible, their chemistry was great. It's just... bad! The entire storyline of Anna going to Ireland to propose to Jeremy and falling for Declan along the way - it's just played out. Some of the characters and the journey itself were just tiresome and overplayed. I think it's a fine movie to watch to pass time, but not one that will ever be praised for being anything but a miss.
