"I’m not going to take this one too seriously. I love Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. “Little baby Jesus” and “You brought this on yourself, grandpa.” Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, “Shake and Bake.” I love Will, I love John C. Reilly, but them two… they just work so well together. They are both at their best, with freedom of, like, “We don’t know if this will work, but we’re doing it.” There is no right or wrong here, and if you want to put that stamp on it, you can. [That’s] the magic of what acting can be, and what cinema and storytelling can be, and they seem to have it. In Talladega Nights, it’s all on the table, all the cards."

Life behind the video games was a novel idea and executed in typically brilliant fashion by the house of mouse. John c Reilly great as usual and the visuals are typically good with some great nods to childhood video games. Nice concept and well played out

I've seen this film I don't know how many times and I don't think I'll ever get over it. John C. Reilly and Will Ferrell together are gold and I don't care what anyone says! I also recently listened to a podcast that had Adam Scott on and he talked about his experience on Step Brothers and it made me want to watch the film all over again to notice the things he was talking about!

I think this might be my favorite Reilly-Ferrell film - this or Talladega Nights. It's super funny and enjoyable. Definitely recommend.

"That's another fine mess you've got me into …"

Drama based around what would become Laurel and hardy's swan-song around the UK in the latter part of their year during the early 1950s, this is impressively cast, with John C Reilly getting the part of Oliver Hardy down pat.

Less successful, perhaps, is Steve Coogan's portrayal of Stan Laurel, maybe solely because the actor is more familiar to me?

I really liked this movie but I did also find it difficult to get past Steve Coogan and me thinking of Alan Partridge

Stan & Ollie is a beautifully produced movie and one that many fans of the comedy duo will enjoy watching as Coogan and Reilly play the lead roles with such passion that during the movie you feel as almost as if you are watching the actually Laurel & Hardy.

With the film being based more around the latter part of their career with them embarking on their final tour, we are introduced to the older Stan & Ollie, John C. Reilly looks great as Oliver Hardy throughout the movie as does Steve Coogan as Stan Laurel which all adds to the look and feel of this biopic work of wonder.
