A half decent almost comic book action film, with a slight feel of Escape from New York about it. Plenty of action to keep you entertained with a decent cast to, Joseph Gilgun has come a long way since Emmerdale! A bit cheesy but you know what to expect from this and it delivers.

Better than it should be, coming of age flick
Despite its obvious rich school location and some of the campiness of it's stereotypes. It's actually quite endearing, and a great soundtrack. Save Ferris makes an appearance in the prom scene. Dazzle them with your wits is always the best move.

"Much has been written on this great film—I would just say that I am always struck by how perfect Joseph Cotten is as a foil to Orson Welles (not for the first time, of course). Cotten flawlessly captures Graham Greene’s cynical view of American naïveté on matters of international affairs and the mysteries of human behavior"

"Carol Reed’s black-and-white tale of postwar Vienna is a perfect storm of dialogue, music, photography, and production design. Although the most celebrated moment is the reveal of Welles and that sly smile, for me the moment that makes the film is the final shot when Alida Valli just walks right by Joseph Cotten. Damn."

When Josephine discovers the significance of the data she inputs for her job, her world takes a very scary turn. What's more, her husband Joseph has been staying away from their ugly sublet for whole nights at a time. Read my review of this scary but thought provoking novel here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2015/07/data-in-lives-out.html

"A wonderful critical reexamination of German cinema under Joseph Goebbels. Rentschler goes far beyond the demonizing approach employed by most writers on this subject (like Susan Tegel in Nazis and the Cinema). His excerpts from Goebbel’s diaries are priceless. And after all these years he dares to make a fair appraisal of Nazi filmmaker Veit Harlan."

I received this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I really love the I Am America series for the way it enlightens about history. I think they're a great teaching tool.

I really liked this one. Joseph and Maya are likable, Scrappy protagonists who care for pigeons in the beginning and their journey is really interesting.
