"Funny, funny, funny. She’s wicked and wise. The main character is a total mess and a joy to hang out with. Every page has a great one-liner or quip and I felt like I never put down my pencil — I kept wanting to underline something."

"I read The Easter Parade or Revolutionary Road every year. Richard Yates is just a good word-for-word on-the-page writer. He couldn’t be more different than someone like Joy Williams or Raymond Carver. His sentences are very complex, the stories are complicated and he was such a miserable man. I always like people who would hate me. I don’t know what that’s about. But Richard Yates would definitely hate me"

Never have I read anything more perfect than this novella. EVER.
Colleen has yet to disappoint me and while Finding Cinderella wasn't necessarily my favorite book, Finding Perfect is definitely up there with my favorites! My heart juggled between hurting and joy, I laughed and darn near cried, I felt the swelling of emotion with every single page. If the title was enough of a spoiler, this is: I'm beyond ecstatic to see Daniel and Six get a happy ending!

With well-illustrated pages that children will love to explore as they follow along as you read to them, right through to a treasured book that children keep going back to long after they have outgrown it, this will be a book that your child will treasure for years to come.
From the first page to the last, the pages are stuffed with the love of books and it is infectious. A journey through the book from an adult will remind you of that innocent joy you had for books and the stories contained within when you were younger.

From the creative story to the detailed artwork, Daria Song has brought us another fantastic coloring book. Continuing with the dream style story and beautiful pages, this book is sure to keep me occupied for hours. Coloring has becoming a peaceful and quiet outlet for me over the past year or so. Expressing creativity on paper through color is one of my favorite things to do. If you have not experienced the joy of putting your pencil to page, Daria's series is an excellent place to start. I enjoy the intricate detail of her work. I have always had an obsession with stars and Daria's stars have a very unique personality which I love. Purchase your copy today and be whisked into a magical world of dreams and color.

I received a free copy of The Night Voyage from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

I was very pleased with this book. The characters were likable and brought me great joy when things worked out for them in the end.

The storyline kept me wanting more from page one.

I appreciated that the love scene was further into the book (steamy too) because it gave you something to process their love interets before totally turning it into a sex fest (not that this book is a sex fest, I just hate books that do that.)

I wish the story would have had a little bit more meat on it, it is a short read. I would have liked to have had more backstory on the characters and more of the ex-boyfriend storyline.

I know that the Aztec gods were depicted based on the actual gods, but I, personally, wished that they were a little more pronouceable. I spend a lot of time skimming over the names which left me a little confused as to which god was doing what.

3 1/2 stars leaning toward 4. I plan on reading book 2, so it couldn’t have been that bad.

It's taken me almost two months to read this, on and off because it was taking far too long to get anywhere interesting. I'd read every page up until about the 40% mark and then because it was taking forever for anything even remotely interesting to happen I just couldn't muster the want to read it.

It was only a couple of days ago when I was re-viewing my to-read list that I saw how many paperbacks I still had left to read and just decided to skim the remaining pages. It still didn't grab me as something amazing happening so I was a little disappointed. I loved the last book I read by her, The Witness, and really enjoy her J.D. Robb In Death series but this failed to get any good response out of me.

To put it bluntly, I was bored. So freaking bored!

Even the romance aspect of it didn't bring me any joy, though good for Abra for going after what she wanted.

I'm not in any hurry to return to a Nora Roberts book for a while after this.

Honestly, I would have been happy if this short story had been a full novel. It’s full of Adichie’s view of the world and how women live their lives in it.

When Zikora finds out that she is pregnant, she excitedly tells her boyfriend thinking that he’ll be just as excited. He isn’t. He wants nothing to do with the responsibilities of being a father, and shuts Zikora out completely, even threatening her with legal action when she continues to phone him about the progress of her pregnancy.

This story mainly takes place during Zikora’s labour, as it looks back on all the things that happened before. Her mother is a constant presence during her labour, and Zikora is able to look back on their relationship.

I shouldn’t really say any more, because this is only a 35 page short story. I will say that I listened to this on Audible at the same time as reading it, and the narrator, Adepero Oduye, really brought the story to life for me. Adichie’s storytelling is at its usual high standard, and it was a joy to both read and listen to.
