Jeremy King (346 KP) rated Welcome to Marwen (2018) in Movies

I went in to this thinking it was going to be lame but i truly enjoyed this movie. It was unique concept.
It gives a great perspective of the damage violence/bullying can cause and how one has to deals with violence afterwards.
I think this movie is great for adult but kids and teens might not get the real meaning of this movie and only take it at face value.
For example some people might think his collection of women's shoes is because he wants to crossdress but i believe it is just because he likes them like some guys like classic cars. To him they are art, he even mentions his knowledge about shoes when he was saying that they are the wrong time period. By not being in the mainstream like everyone else and doing what he feels comfortable with he is bullied to the max just for being different.

Dystopian Future
The Man Who You Dont Want To Mess With
What a great way to start of a franchise. The action, the suspense, the drama, the adventure, the dystopian, the revenge and of course Max. You dont want to mess around with him. Cause he will find you and when he does he will kill you. He sets his target on you, and when he does you better run or hide, cause like i said he will kill you.
The plot: In a not-too-distant dystopian future, when man's most precious resource -- oil -- has been depleted and the world plunged into war, famine and financial chaos, the last vestiges of the law in Australia attempt to restrain a vicious biker gang. Max (Mel Gibson), an officer with the Main Force Patrol, launches a personal vendetta against the gang when his wife (Joanne Samuel) and son are hunted down and murdered, leaving him with nothing but the instincts for survival and retribution.
I really like dystopian films, and just the idea of a post apolcyptic future, where survival is the key. And this film is one of them.
Its a must see film, if you haven't seen it.

Bong Mines Entertainment (15 KP) rated Happy Anymore - Single by Savannah Sgro in Music
Jun 25, 2019
Savannah Sgro is Nashville-based singer-songwriter from Las Vegas, Nevada. Not too long ago, she released a gloomy pop tune, entitled, “Happy Anymore”.
“Turn the TV off ‘cause I don’t wanna see this part. They’re in each other’s arms and it’s just too hard on my heart. I don’t wanna see another kiss, another smile on their lips. No, I couldn’t be more over this. I’m sick of seeing people happy ‘cause all it does is remind me that that’s not what we are anymore.” – lyrics
‘Happy Anymore’ tells a bitter tale of a young woman who shares a dysfunctional relationship with her significant other.
Apparently, they’ve tried kissing and making up, and everything else under the sun. But nothing seems to make them happy.
Later, the woman admits that she and her partner used to make each other happy, but now they’re not happy anymore because they can’t compromise.
‘Happy Anymore’ contains a relatable storyline, pleasing vocals, and warm instrumentation scented with sentimental ingredients.
“I wrote the song with my friends Savana Santos and Emily Falvey. It was written while I was inspired by watching ‘The Bachelor’. It was hard to watch all these couples happy when my boyfriend and I were fighting.” – Savannah Sgro

Maris (8 KP) rated Emergency Contact in Books

Emergency Contact was a okay book for me. It was different then what I usually read but hear are my thoughts on this book..
We have two character point of views, Penny and Sam's. I always looked forward to reading Sam's point of view since he had a lot going on for himself and that's what kept me going with this book. Penny was interesting but not as much as Sam. It took me awhile to finish the book just cause I felt like there wasn't enough "Drama/ & or adventure" between all the characters.
I did like the ending of the book, I was a bit worried on how it was going to plan out but the ending was good for this story.

Family Breaking Hilarity
This is honestly one of the best ideas for a game I have ever seen, it is a game that is easy for casuals to play, its competitive or just fun. You can play this with anyone and not change your opinion of them. I have played this with so many different people and groups and every game is different, every game is fun and it honestly does alot to breaking the ice when a serious conversation is needed. Those with social anxiety would do well to look into this game, it puts everyone on a level playing field with the disgusting things your going to say
Cori June (3033 KP) rated Twister (1996) in Movies
Feb 15, 2020
Just rewatched this and was amazed by how well the special effects held up. I enjoyed going down memory lane and seeing Gary England on the TV (even if it was for like 2 seconds).
The film tells a slightly accurate if over exaggerated story about weather chasers. Some of the acting is over the top, and a few of the scenes are incredulous (like the flying cow, but that has happened before) with the main characters evading being killed and the plot gets a bit lost as they focus more on the tornadoes and the destruction they can cause. Love it or hate to like it, it's a disaster movie through and through that highlights the power and suddenness of the twister.
