I really loved this book. Some parts i did just skim through cause i wanted to see what happens at the end but that is kind of the reader i am. But over all a terrific book. Reading into the thought process of Kevin was very intriguing. If you've watch the movie before hand and then got into the book like i did, It is almost COMPLETELY different. Same on some concepts but different overall. Worth the read though.

Alison Pink (7 KP) rated Vengeance (Quirke #5) in Books

I didn't really care for this book. From the very beginning there were so many character presented that it was incredibly hard to keep them all straight. They were either all related, in business together, or sleeping with each other. The writing itself was good, but it just seemed like the author was trying too hard. The mystery in the book fell flat.
All in all it was okay, but not an author I would seek out again.

Unsettling and creepy!
Yes I am reviewing the Echo dot! Since we bought this we have maybe used it 3 or 4 times. On the other hand Alexa has taken it upon herself to think every word that sounds like Alexa is her que to contribute to the conversation, whether this is a tv conversation, song or just a household chat. From being excited about this product I was really disappointed. She now lives in a drawer.

Easy Mechanics, Entertaining Scenarios
This is one of my all time favourite games. It's so easy to play and yet so difficult to win. Everyone has a secret win condition and you have to reach yours while simultaneously stopping everyone else from winning theirs. There are some hilarious cards and situations that can occur and even a little randomless just like the books!

DNF @ 21%
I like straight-forward romamnces: boy meets boy/girl, get together, live HEA, the end.
I'm not a fan of complicated/family filled/not getting straight to the point stories.
I thought this book would be good and to start with I enjoyed it but it was taking too long getting where it was going, deviating into strange dreams that just totally put me off, hence me DNF'ing the story.
Totally not my sort of thing.

2.25 stars.
I've never really understood the whole BDSM thing so i seldom read them, if ever, but there was just something that made me want to read this.
I liked our characters but i didnt understand how quickly they fell for each other--and the whole BDSM thing, obviously--but i did like the lengths they'd go to for each other, though it took a little time for them to get other the big hurdle between them.

What the...? You can't just leave it on a big cliffhanger like that!? I need answers! Who offed the biatch? And what the heck happened while you were off in DC? What did Reed do? And what's going on with a certain character?
I am so falling in love with this messed up family. They are slowly turning things around and becoming the single unit they used to be before Maria left them.
Off to get book 3!
