Beautiful Day
A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood- is more about the person interviewing Mr. Rodgers than Mr. Rodgers himself and to that i say "their was a documentary that came out in 2018, called "Won't You Be My Neighbor?", that focus on Mr. Rogers more". This film is still a good movie, i just wish it was more about Mr. Rogers than the person interviewing him. Tom Hanks does a excellent job playing Mr. Rodgers, he reminded me alot of Mr. Rogers, brings back memories.
The plot: Lloyd Vogel is an investigative journalist who receives an assignment to profile Fred Rogers, aka Mr. Rogers. He approaches the interview with skepticism, as he finds it hard to believe that anyone can have such a good nature. But Roger's empathy, kindness and decency soon chips away at Vogel's jaded outlook on life, forcing the reporter to reconcile with his own painful past.
Like i said before its a good movie.

I hope I am not the only one that hears the echoes of Citizen Cope.
“sky high that’s a nice view
you called and i came thru
this is how i say i love you”
— Gabriel Black
It's a flow, there's some understated lyrics, and Sofi de la Torre's voice adds a nice coat of syrup to the core confection. This song took me by surprise. It's not exactly a roots track, yet is in the sense that it is modern and throwback at the same time. That OG self-titled Citizen Cope record was 16 years ago so it makes sense that the feeling is back.
Jump is not just a reanimation of some golden era of genre synthesis, it feels like the voice at every house party. It is the first premise of youth, as stated by David Bowie so many years ago: we are immune to your consultations. If you jump then I jump too.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Girl with Guitar (Kylie Ryans, #1) in Books

I really enjoyed this!
That would explain why I was up until 1:15am this morning just so I could finish it, and why I cried like a baby for probably the last 35% almost non-stop! If I cry, that means I've become emotionally involved and when that happens then I know I loved it.
I loved Kylie's determination to do what she wanted career wise and how she told Trace right from the off that she wouldn't put up with his crap on the tour.
As for Trace, he sort of fluctuated in my affections with his behaviour, one minute I loved him the next I wanted to smack him for what he'd done/said. But by the end he was firmly on the plus side of the scale, though how I managed to read the last half of the book through my tears, I'd never know!
I'm looking forward to reading Girl on Tour, to read more about Kylie and Trace's relationship!

Journey with Colin Through the Maze
This book follows Colin, who has recently lost his parents. He’s struggling, as you would expect for any sixteen-year-old who was in that situation. So when a family friend tells him that there is a castle on Rheembeck Mountain that might hold the answer for him, he sets out. When Colin arrives, he learns he will have to journey through a maze in the castle to find what he is looking for. Will he find it?
After reading The Tightrope Walker, I decided I had to track this book down. It is episodic in nature, and that works here, with each complication keeping me engaged. Colin is really the only character we see the entire way through, and we get to see him really grow. The story is an allegory for grieving, and it mostly works. I just felt like it stumbled at the end. Even so, I’m really glad I picked up the book.
