"I feel like he’s not real, like he doesn’t – his brain is just like way ahead of people, that like people don’t understand it in a way cos he’s just completely on another level. Crooks is higher."

Nothing like the book. An alternate story that just isn’t the same.

"In Bruges is another one like that. It’s just flawless, like, it’s so tight. The ending is perfect. Just when you’re like, “Oh, they’re gonna bring in this Ralph Fiennes character and he’s just not gonna be able to compete with the main cast,” and he just crushes it and is doing something completely different. Oh, he’s just heaven."

There's a henchman in this that makes Dwayne Johnson look like a child. Just think about that for a second.

This was a DNF for me it started out okay but then I just didn't like the MC and honestly this just felt like Hunger Games.. And I wasn't a fan of that either.

"Escape From New York, because that’s the one that made me want to make movies. It was a fantasy world. It was like, “What? There’s a wall around New York? It’s a prison? You can do that? You can just make stuff like that up?” That’s a lot of freedom; I thought that was very freeing. I was twelve when I saw that, twelve or thirteen. And I saw that [John Carpenter] wrote it, directed it, and did the music, and I was just like, “This guy’s doing everything. You can do that?” It just felt like, it was so renegade. It was independently done, and it made me want to start making movies, and I started making movies from that point on. It was just very inspiring. I knew I had a lot of interest, and that made me… That was movie that just really marked my life."

"Daft Punk’s Homework was really big for me growing up. I know Daft Punk is this big huge thing…It’s like Daft Punk and Coachella are almost on the same level. Daft Punk to me started just so pure, and there still is a purity. You can see that they are like, “What’s going to get everyone excited?” versus what’s just going ot make them excited. That Homework record is just so raw, they were 16 when they made it and I heard a rumor that their dad mixed it in their basement. It’s just a super cool record and there was nothing like that when that came out, that was huge for me. I bought that at Walmart when I was just a little kid. I remember that I just couldn’t believe it, that “Around the World” bass line was just blowing my mind."
