TV Season Favorite

"I like how fragmented Atlanta is. It just belies people's expectations of what a character is going to be and their socio-economic situations. I just feel like there's a lot of humour on the show but it's also dealing with a lot of heavy, serious stuff and race issues. I also just like how it's fragmented and artful. It feels more filmic to me than TV. I also like 'This Is America' - both the video and the song. I thought that was one of the most brilliant things. It's so hard to make comments about culture, and then also the entertainment world, as well as the rap world. That was amazing. That reflects a lot of the attitude of Atlanta, as well. It's being self-reflective"

I like Snapchat. I don't love Snapchat but I do like it. I love the filters, I like the fact that I can send someone or a set of someones a spoken video message but I find that I just don't use it that much. I don't think it was designed for me at this point in my life. All that being said, I do like the way that it is designed, it is on my phone, and I do wish that I used it more.

"One of my favorite films is the movie Tootsie. I really love Tootsie. I just watched it when I was a kid and for some reason, I just, I’m obsessed with that movie. I think I’ve watched it 100 times. It’s just so funny and fun, and I love it. It’s cool. I like that it’s sort of about women, you know? It’s sort of about how he finds the woman inside himself, so there’s sort of like this feminine aspect to it, and I just love Dustin Hoffman. He’s amazing. I don’t know, I just love that movie. It’s emotionally totally satisfying to me, and it sort of makes me feel good while being interesting and smart."

Aliens (1986)
Aliens (1986)
1986 | Action, Horror, Sci-Fi

"I’m a really big fan, but I also like the combination of action and a little bit of humor and the storyline. I’m a fan of that film just from a pure escapist entertainment perspective. Nothing to do with the overall themes of human nature or people surviving as a human race. None of that. It’s just fun. It’s just a fun movie."

Bohemian Rhapsody was amazing! They couldn't have casted it any better. Soundtrack is obviously great. It was just a really well done movie that, like the band, rocked!

"Another film about death, yet a film that just feels like a long, permanent convalescence. When everything seems hopeless and lost, Dr. Lubitsch is the one to call."

Braveheart (1995)
Braveheart (1995)

"Another one of mine is Braveheart. I just loved the whole — I mean, I love anything that you can really feel. That was such a beautiful story, and the way it was filmed, and just the heart — it just grabs your attention and you can’t stop watching it. The tragedy in it. It’s epic. It’s one of those movies you can only dream about being in. I think I watched that movie before every fight. And I cry at the end of that movie. I must have seen it millions of times. I’m like that: I like to watch movies over and over and over, and so I’ve done that with Braveheart."

The Producers (1967)
The Producers (1967)

"Number four, I would say is Mel Brooks’ The Producers. It’s a toss up between The Producers and Young Frankenstein. It’s so hard to pick one, but I just feel like the first production of The Producers with Gene Wilder and Zero Mostel is like … I feel like that raised me. That’s my daddy. Probably in the womb that was shown to me."

The more I watch this movie the worse it gets. I don't even really know what to say. It's not like the cast is bad, it's actually full of some real powerhouses, but it's just a bad plot and it moves so slow at times and so quickly at others. I also just didn't get that satisfaction at the end that I've gotten from other films like this. Lots of meh.
