I wanted to like it. I really did, but there were sections that seemed to drag a bit. It was similar to the Dark Tower, however, it just didn't grab my interest well enough.

Although it was a good story the constant reminder that the men were 'Green Berets', like nearly every chapter, was tiresome and annoying. Also the word 'cream' in the sex scenes is just yuk!

It was a good film but not brilliant I thought that them having two megladons was a bit far fetched just like having one of them

I am new to Smashbomb and would really like to reach that 1000 KP Influencer rank. I mainly just review books. Can anyone give me any pointers on how to reach my desired rank?

Hmm it's a difficult one, the main way is just to keep reviewing things. Or you gain KP from adding items, videos etc to things. Or doing the daily missions can up your KP too?

Great addition to the series

This is another series that I am being pulled into like a fish on a hook. I swear, the writing is just so engaging and I can't help but want Leda and Nero to finally get together. All these little things that keep getting mentioned like Nero's patents and that bit about the angel book? All very intriguing. I can't wait to read more!

"This is actually kind of a curve ball, ’cause I don’t generally like movies that are this dark, but I’m a huge fan of the Todd Solondz film Happiness. That movie’s so f**ked up, but it’s so… I actually really enjoy that movie. That movie is so deeply disturbing but there’s something exuberant and hilarious about it. The laughs are so uncomfortable. That movie just really works for me and I don’t generally like movies where the vision of humanity is that dark and unforgiving."

"For obvious reasons. It’s just painted on a giant canvas – it’s larger than life. There’s a reason it’s a classic, and I don’t know what else to say about it that hasn’t already been said. It’s just one of the greats. There’s not a character in it that I don’t like, and there’s not a performance in it that’s flawed. It’s incredible."

I was hoping that this book would be more of a continuation of Empress of the World but it is really just about Battle and her dysfunctional family. It is still well written but the characters are not as deep as in the first book and Battle just seems like she is going from girl to girl. Not unrealistic just doesn't fit with the story that was begun in the first book.

"The Big Lebowski is like a bowl of noodles I could eat every single day, and it would be endlessly emitting new flavors. It’s just incredible. There is like an academic reading of Big Lebowski that you could go about on forever…this polemic about war, maybe specifically World War II, and then it’s like this commentary on Hollywood, like a spoof. Then, it’s just a great weed movie. And then the performances are just ridiculous. Jeff Bridges is doing, I mean, Olivier level acting. It’s ridiculous that there’s a monologue in the limousine… he comes out of the limo that Maude sent him, and then another driver immediately – which is just the most hilarious visual, just going from one limo to another limo. Then, he gets in there holding his White Russian, and then has to explain himself, and he stammers, and each thought is so clear, but leads nowhere. There are no scenes that aren’t fun. Also, I don’t understand the movie, which is kind of a great feeling to have. I don’t fully understand the plot, and I’ve seen it 100 times. It’s a very unique movie in the sense that I don’t know what’s going on every time I see it."
