Another awesome adventure in the Kane Chronicles! I loved this book just as much as The Red Pyramid. I finished it with a sigh knowing that I am going to have to wait quite awhile for the next installment.

Good, raw grungey album. I think my only knowledge of Sonic Youth to date has been Sugar Kane on a compilation album, so this raw, punk sound was a pleasant surprise.

Friday the 13th rip off
Contains spoilers, click to show
A reclusive maniac terrorizes a group of young petty criminals who have arrived to clean up a rotting hotel as part of their community service. After one of them is kidnapped, the petrified group must find a way to fight off a seemingly unstoppable foe.

Kane from the wwe, yes that kane stars as jacob goodnight. Jacob has mommy issues, sounds like Jason.

Wait wait, a group of people go to a secluded place, and one by one get killed off. Hmm this is a rip off of friday the 13th.

Anyways see no evil fails on its psycological horror, with no intresting charcters and not really a plot. see no evil fails and the only thing that saves this movie is kane.

In the end, see no evil is a poor attempt at a psychological horror film thats a rip off's friday the 13th.

Shadows of Bourbon Street ( Jade Calhoun 5)
By Deanna Chase
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Starting a new job is tough - especially when your boss thinks nothing of interrupting your wedding. After a year of battling ghosts and demons, white witch Jade Calhoun is finally marrying the man of her dreams. Or is she? Minutes before Jade and Kane say I do, the High Angel arrives with a job for the newly appointed shadow walkers. Another witch's life is on the line and it's up to Jade and Kane to save her. With a black magic user intent on destroying one of Jade's friends, more demons on the loose, and a hard to find incubus, can the almost newlyweds save the witch and get their own happy ending?

Oh I’ve missed Jade and Kane and boy was this a good book! I knew that wedding would never go as planned and now Kane is a new kick ass Incubus! So many happy endings in this one so you know the next one will be a kick in the teeth for them 😂 definitely a good supernatural series if this is what you love with witches, demons , angels and now incubus what’s next?

As I said in Red Headed step-child this has everything I like, vampires, mages, werewolves, Demons and much much more, I absolutly love Sabina Kane, she has attidude and underneath that really tough exterior she has a really soft heart that I thoroughly enjoyed finding out through the 3 books (Red-Headed stepchild, Mage in Black, Green-eyed Demon) and I cannot wait for the fourth book as i'm sure it will be even better the the first 3 as with each book we see more of who Sabina Kane really is and she gets even more interesting :)

"Cheech and Chong were these stoned guys from the 1970s who got famous getting high and then made movies about getting high, which made them more famous. This is their first movie, and also their best. It is, quite possibly, the Citizen Kane of pot movies."

Uwe Boll recommended Citizen Kane (1941) in Movies (curated)

Citizen Kane (1941)
Citizen Kane (1941)
1941 | Classics, Drama, Mystery

"Citizen Kane is, like you see now, P.T. Anderson‘s There Will Be Blood. It’s a good movie; it’s the same kind of thing. You follow a crazy character who gets really successful, and in a very bitter way. So I really love those two movies. It’s still one of the biggest crimes of Hollywood that they didn’t finance Orson Welles’ movies after a while. To have a genius like him, sitting there and trying to get his last 5,000 bucks together to make another movie after he did a movie like this… (Welles’ follow-up to Citizen Kane, The Magnificent Ambersons, was notoriously completed and re-cut without his input.)"

The Mating (Law of the Lycans #2) by Nicky Charles
In The Mating we meet Kane and Elise. Kane we have heard mentioned in Bonded, but Elise is a new character. They get together for political reasons, although Elise had a boyfriend. However, once she spends time with Kane, she finds she is thinking less of Bryan than she thought she would. Mix into the story a woman who wants what Elisa has, an oil company who wants to drill, a half-brother with murder on his mind, and you get a great story.

I found The Mating to be very well-written, with plenty of characters to like and dislike. Although at times, I really REALLY wanted the other characters to catch onto what was going on, it still played a part of the story, and I just had to wait until they caught up. With a steady pace, and some steamy times too, this book was thoroughly enjoyable, and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Citizen Kane (1941)

"I really was trying to avoid Citizen Kane, but I would say Kane and the first fourth, the first half of The Magnificent Ambersons, for, you know, reasons that are obvious. I mean, it’s all miserably compromised after the first half — actually after the first third, I think — but I think the first twenty, twenty-five minutes of Ambersons is in many ways richer than anything in Kane, and that really is saying something. It struck a tone in American moviemaking; it was just absolutely new to me as a kid when I first saw that. I had never seen that kind of lightly ironic, very bittersweet, but achingly nostalgic… It’s just great, it’s just great. It’s also got probably one of my single favorite shots in cinema, that silhouette combined with the two couples after the ball. It’s the most incredible moment, and you just can’t believe you’re seeing it, and it lasts only as long as it could humanly last, and then it’s over. It’s great."
