"Obviously we gravitate to those we love, and I suppose the B52's did all the groundwork for the campy disco rock a la Scissor Sisters that followed decades later. They are true originals and may have been the soundtrack to a John Water's movie. I lost count of the amount of times I danced to ‘Rock Lobster’ and tried to learn the who's who list of names on 52 Girls. The brilliant thing about being a pop musician is that you get to meet all of your teen idols. We toured with The B52's and I stayed in Woodstook at Kate Pierson's Lazy Meadow's Silver-line Caravan site, where I consequently felt the drums of an Indian pow wow coming up through the water of the river through my feet (which I often hear on the intro to ‘A Little Respect’ but it isn’t actually part of the music… spooky!"

Admittedly fantasy books aren't my favourite (neither are books over 400pgs) and this took me a little time to get into. It was probably about the time Declan was properly introduced that my interest was piqued. At the same time though, I was still struggling with the story. I'd say it was from about a third of the way in when it started to grow on me, as did Declan.

It had an interesting concept with the two linked worlds--one fantasy-esque with nobles and the likes and the other a lot like the world now--with a thin strip known as The Edge linking them together.

I didn't always understand what was happening, especially at the beginning, but it was explained in more detail the more I read of the book.

This is my second book by the author and I think I might read more of her Kate Daniels series since I prefer more paranormal romance/urban fantasy books than just normal fantasy.

This is my second book by Kate Perry and I have to admit I liked this one a lot more than the other. I may even be interested in reading the rest of the Summerhill stories because the sister have seriously grown on me.

I've been in a bit of a book slump lately and I kept starting books and then stopping because they weren't grabbing my attention. Then I started this, and though it was book 3 in the series I quickly caught up on it and fell into the story.

I liked it from the beginning, it was romance with a few naughty bits which is right up my street and I enjoyed reading Gigi and Merrick's story. They both became who they wanted to be and that bit at the end was really cute.

Yeah, I've been persuaded to carry on the series with Titania's story next, though I'm really wanting to read the one with Luca in :)
