Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2357 KP) rated Once Upon a Crime in Books
Mar 9, 2018
This book takes the characters to New York City where they find fairy tale characters living in hiding. While they try to heal a friend, they get involved in a murder. This series may be for kids, but I just love the creativity each book shows.

Andy K (10823 KP) rated Blue's Clues in TV

Not made for me, but enjoyed
Probably the first kids show I ever watched consistently with my son, Blue's Clues seemed to always make him happy and entertained.
It wasn't like one of those pointless shows of today like Bubble Guppies or Paw Patrol.
Blue and friends keep things simple but always seemed to figure out the clues.
She's so smart!

As a person who felt the impact of 9/11 and a teacher I think this book gave a very good perspective. It still amazes me that the kids I teach do not know like before this. They think of it like I did Pearl Harbor. Still we can not shelter them just because it will open wounds in us. The new generations deserve to know.

Andy K (10823 KP) rated Mario Kart Double Dash in Video Games

Best Mario Kart game ever!
Daisy Cruiser was my favorite. Or maybe DK Mountain. The best part was playing with a friend and they would toss turtle shells at your enemies while they followed you.
My kids and I played this game forever when they were little and again recently when we rediscovered the Game Cube.

Can screw people over (3 more)
No two games will be alike
Lots of replay
Cute cards
Such a fun game
I love this game and have all the expansions. I have spent about 70-80 dollars on it and I do not regret it at all. My kids love it, and its so much fun to mess peoples games up and keep them from winning.

Dean (6927 KP) rated Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties (2006) in Movies

A surprisingly good part animated comedy based on the Garfield comic strip. I liked this one more than the first one. This has plenty of other animals being voiced over by a range of well known actors including Bob Hoskins as a British bulldog and Vinnie Jones as a rottweiler, what else? With Bill Murray voicing Garfield. Perfect for kids and older fans of Garfield.

Unique
This movie turned out to be pretty fun and entertaining. The acting was just ok but the cinematography was very unique. The story itself was interesting too. All shot from the main character's point of view. It was full of action(some pretty graphic so probably not for kids). If you enjoy sci-fi action movies, this one will appeal to you. Worth a watch!

Great movie
I really enjoyed this, but at times it was heart breaking. The other kids were horrible, but not unrealistic. My favorite thing about this movie was that it was told through multiple points of view. My opinion of some characters changed when I saw things from there shoes. It was a great reminder that everyone goes through hard ships that shape there actions.
