Apr 27, 2018
In the story of The Mudhogs, the three pigs named Piggy, Piggles, and Piglet love mud. They want to play in the mud but there isn’t any in the barn that they live in. So they travel the world looking for mud… and when they get home they learn an important lesson.
This is a really cute book that all kids would love. It’s easy to understand and is written by a kid for a kid. The illustrations are adorable and the story is funny and cute. Recommended for ages 3-10.

Domonique (0 KP) rated Library of Souls: The Third Novel of Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children in Books
May 12, 2018
This was such a good conclusion to the story of Miss Peregrine and her peculiar children. I was so hoping that Jacob and Emma would get a chance to be together without the hollows and the threat of the whites and just to be normal kids, so to speak, and I'm glad that's what happened in the end. I hope that Jacob's parents come around and finally realize how special their son is and I'm glad the children and Miss Peregrine found a way to live outside a loop and experience real life.
Michelle (114 KP) rated Marked (House Of Night #1) in Books
Apr 21, 2018
When I first saw this Vampire Y A book I thought it would become a good series to collect as its about a group of kids who have been marked to become Vampires and sent to The House Of Night Vampire School. In the first book we learn about Zoey who has just become a student at the Vampire school. As the series goes on the books get boring. Not one of the best buys in Young Adult fiction.
Anna Steele (111 KP) rated Landline in Books

YA or Adult?
I went I went into this book knowing nothing. (I do this for many books from authors I respect). I had read Eleanor and Park and thought I would be getting a simple young adult romance. Boy was I wrong, this book is great for people who are growing up a little. The young adult story is still there but it is complicated by the adult world of marriage and kids and family. Great transition book if you want to start reading more adult fiction.
Lewis Brooks (11 KP) rated Cars 3 (2017) in Movies

Very good animated film
Contains spoilers, click to show
Usually in my opinion the first film in a series is the best. I feel that's true for the cars series. However this is still a great feel good film. Great for kids and adults. I love the addition of more characters and more environments beautifuly tweaked from reality to fit in to the alternate world of cars. It fits well with real life, with the retirement of all the race cars and the new intake of youth. Very entertaining with an underlayer of life lessons.

Cute love stort
I love anything by Tim Burton, but the music and story in this movie has me swooning everytime. I am all for a good love story, but it definitely was different than most love stories out there. I couldn't help but fall in love with it. Not to mention the music will have you choking up a bit with emotion. With Burton's animating style and wonderful way to tell a story, there is no way you can absolutely hate it.
Gisell Middleton (189 KP) rated Colombiano in Books
Apr 30, 2019
This book is incredibly thick and took a long time to read; and was worth every second. This incredible story, steeped in fact, is engaging, exhilarating and heart wrenching. The characters are defined, realistic and believable, as are the circumstances of their lives and situations. To be able to immerse ourselves in what happens to these kids in countries where terrorist groups abound and are as well known as the locals is amazing and important. This “true story”, which reads like a novel, is timely, smart and a must read!

You wanna be the VERY best?
Best video game movie I've had the privilege of seeing. Establishes its own story and universe while hinting at being associated with the animated movies. Only issue I had was in a few scenes, it felt like Justice Smith didn't know how to FEEL properly. Sounds weird, but you will see what I mean.
Fan of Pokemon? Go see it. Not a fan? Take your kids to go see it.

Ande Thomas (69 KP) rated Economix: How Our Economy Works (and Doesn't Work), in Words and Pictures in Books
May 30, 2019
Economix is a truly great book that presents the ins and outs of the global economy in a way I've never seen before. It's not just a comic, or a simplified version of economics for kids. It's a genuinely in depth and well researched look at the current state of the economy and how we got here, and why. I would truly recommend this book to anyone who has more than a passing interest in economic policy or questions on why money works the way it does.
