Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2434 KP) rated Mistletoe Murder (A Lucy Stone Mystery, #1) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Lucy Stone is working nights at a mail order company. When the owner is killed in the parking lot, she begins to piece together gossip to find the killer. I like the characters, but the plot was slowed down so much in the first half by every day life (Lucy is a married mother of two), that I was bored. Things did pick up in the second half.

Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2434 KP) rated Naked Heat (Nikki Heat, #2) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
Gossip columnist Cassidy Towne has been murdered, and Nikki Heat must solve this high profile case quickly. To make this worse, writer Jameson Rook was profiling Cassidy, so Nikki must reunite with Rook to try to find the killer. Lots of great action and plenty of fun for fans of the TV show Castle. The writing was definitely better this time around, too, although it still could have smoothed out in a few spots.

bre (180 KP) rated Powdered Murder in Books
Jun 25, 2018 (Updated Jun 25, 2018)
A. Gardner's first published book was also my first cozy mystery to read. The writing kept me hooked from start to finish, and I never would have guessed who the killer was from the start! The 'clues' presented kept the plot intriguing and the subtle touch of romance added a little touch that made it even more enjoyable to read. No violence or gore, with just a touch of suspense to keep you reading on. All in all, a great read for an introduction to a new genre.
KarenRC (6 KP) rated This Little Piggy (DI Rosalind Kray, #2) in Books
Jul 23, 2018
Told from almost alternate perspectives of Roz and Kevin, this story zooms along with twists and revelations aplenty. Although we know that Kevin is the killer almost from very early on, the full details are held back and we find out as and when Roz does.
Another brilliantly done tale from Rob. The murdery side is as grisly and graphic as ever and Roz is as intuitive and ballsy as before. Can’t wait for no.3!

Kaz (232 KP) rated Candy Crush Saga in Apps

A great time killer
This is a simple game, but it gets very addictive, very quickly. I like all of the fun graphics the game uses, but I have found that the apparent really difficult levels, are not that challenging at all (although as the game goes along, I may regret saying this!).
It's a game game to pick up when you have some time to kill, but I can see that after a while, this game could become rather repetitive.

Russ Troutt (291 KP) rated Hell Fest (2018) in Movies
Jul 2, 2019
Hell Fest was hella fun! Hell Fest is the perfect horror movie to kick off the Halloween season. While I was able to really get into it as I was only weeks away from meeting up with my friends in California for some hellish festivities of our own, I really think anyone that watches this movie will feel like it's your friends that you're hanging out and trying to survive with. Get your RIP front of line pass to Hell Fest and prepare for a killer good time.
Ducklady (1174 KP) rated Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer in TV
Feb 20, 2020
Very interesting watch. I bunged it on when I was bored and ended up binge watching all three episodes.
As human beings, we are monstrously intrigued by the monstrous and this documentary shows that.
It starts with a horrific video of animal abuse on 2 adorable kittens and escalated into psycho killer territory. Addictive and disturbing to watch and the whole time it makes me wonder about internet habits.
The ending takeaway from the "internet nerds" was super forced and strange XD no I am absolutely not complicit thank you very much hah
