Oh. My. Days... This Anthology is absolutely amazing! I loved every story (each one had a fantastic twist), I adored the John Carpenter moments (his moments were actually my favourite part of the Anthology) and there are some Horror-glitterati cast members who are just the Cherry on top of an ass-kicking, scream inducing Cake. It really captures the wierd and wonderful of Horror and it's one of the best Anthologies I've ever seen. I just wish it would get a decent UK release... so I could watch it everyday!!

The Plot: Against the advice of locals and police, Clay (Jared Padalecki) scours the eerie woods surrounding Crystal Lake for his missing sister. But the rotting cabins of an abandoned summer camp are not the only things he finds. Hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees lies in wait for a chance to use his razor-sharp machete on Clay and the group of college students who have come to the forest to party.
platinum dunes produce this one, and i actually like their horror remakes, and i think their really underrated.
This one continues to be scary, horrorfying, terrorfying and overall a good friday the 13th film.

The Plot: On the hunt for the twisted vigilante and serial killer Jigsaw (Tobin Bell), Detective Eric Matthews (Donnie Wahlberg) and his team must apprehend the elusive murderer to rescue eight people trapped in an abandoned house, before they succumb to his torturous and murderous games. One twist to this task is that Matthews' own son, Daniel (Erik Knudsen), is among the eight people Jigsaw has chosen to test for their lack of morality. With nerve gas pumping through the house, every second counts.
A good sequel to a fantastic first film.

Impressive directorial debut and the start of great things to come. Some of his visual style are already present including impressive landscape shots or cut scenes featuring animals and nature.
The story is based on the American serial killer Charles Starkweather who befriends a naive young girl, invades her life and brings her along on a mass killing road trip across the southern United States. The victims include almost everyone they meet. The authorities are mobilized and pursue the duo as tensions escalate.
Sheen and Spacek are perfectly cast as the young couple which modern audiences would equate to Natural Born Killers; however, this film is not over the top like NBK. I really enjoyed their reluctant relationship and the mounting peril with the inevitable confrontation with the law.
Highly recommended.
