Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Fall from India Place (On Dublin Street, #4) in Books

3.5 stars, I think.
It made me cry, it made me snort with laughter at times but it also drove me mad, too.
She'd been burned but to push him away for something that happened when you were all young and stupid? Even when he'd explained what'd happened back then. Ugh! I wanted to throw my Kindle occasionally. It was so obvious he wanted you back for good, Hannah, and you were so stubborn!
I like how the original group has grown as they've got married and had kids, and the kids are adorable.
I look forward to finishing off this series.

I downloaded this 18 months ago, not long after receiving my first kindle, and I was obsessed with freebies. Since then I've read a lot of books and I now know my tastes a lot better.
This wasn't to my liking.
I thought it would be some retelling of a fairy-tale but it wasn't quite like that. I'll admit it was rather imaginative, plot-wise, but it didn't grab me as much as I'd have liked. The best bit for me was the slight romance between Mina and Brody.
It could also do with a little editing.

Like the last two contemporary romances I've read on Kindle Unlimited, this runs along the same sort of lines; Don't get along anywhere but the bedroom.
This one got a little intricate with sub plots and Célian's messed up feelings and thoughts but I still got pulled in. I wanted to bang his head against a wall several times and Jude needed a good talking to on occasion.
I do like this theme but three books with the same sort of plotline has made me a bit immune so I think I'm going to mix it up a bit with my next read.

I'm slowly working my way through my oldest Kindle books to my newest and this was the first in line.
DNF @ 58%
I stopped at the start of Chapter 13, after reading that first paragraph. How could the author do that? I like happy endings! I want the couple to get together and be happy!?
I wasn't exactly pulled in before then but that bit did me in. I was rooting for Chase and Harper FFS! I was never Team Brandon and I can see where the stories going to go and I'm not impressed, therefore I'm not going to finish it.

The Dunwitch horror
By H. P. Lovecraft
Review will be completed on Smashbomb once read and link place in comments.
A mysterious bandaged stranger in an English village turns out to be a mad scientist, who has discovered how to turn himself invisible and plans to tak over the world.
This one bored me a little I know and yes I said it bored me!! Although I still find it fascinating how Lovecraft makes you think you have read a full length novel in just 7 chapters! I’m gradually starting to understand more and more of his work!

Serial Killers at the movies
By Christopher Berry-Dee
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bestselling author, Christopher Berry-Dee, talks to the serial killers whose wicked stories have most thrilled and fascinated us at the movies and, through far-ranging and disturbing interviews, he tells the stories of the mass murderers who provided the inspiration for some of cinema's most shocking films.
This was a very interesting read I’m enjoying reading his opinions and his outcomes on research. There are certain a few films from this to add to the list and also some to rewatch with new eyes.

EPIC and Highly Recommended
The author, Sheryl Browne, has created a heart-stopping psychological thriller packed with strong characters. The book had me gripped from the first to the very last page and I could not put it down in between!
Sheryl Browne takes us on a heart-stopping rollercoaster ride and has a fascinating way of taking you into the middle of events where you can’t help but feel empathy for all characters and even understand what is going on in the mind of The Babysitter.
I found myself unable to just sit still and read, I was pacing the floor, munching on junk food and whilst I started reading with a glass of wine, there was a paragraph in the book that shook me so much I dropped my glass. I replaced it with something a little stronger and got comfy as I knew I would not be sleeping until I reached the final page.
My Kindle gave the ‘low power warning’ when I was 48% through and I had to sit in the corner with the charging cable for the rest of the book.
I don't want to give away any secrets of the book - would just say read it and read it quick!
I purchased this book via Amazon Kindle and have now purchased a paperback copy for a friend.

Lived up to the hype!
So I wanted to see what all the hype was about and it was free on amazon kindle!
I really enjoyed this! It had a great pace, interesting characters and the story is a bit different from the usual YA. I used to read a lot of YA but found them getting a bit "samey" so I was dubious at first thinking that this would be your typical rom-com style, but it really wasn't.
I did guess the ending but I was enjoying the read so much that it didn't bother me that I had an idea of what was coming 😊
