The Princes in the Tower

Wilkinson admits that in writing the second part of her biography of Richard III, she became too bogged down with the whole 'princes in the tower' enigma and so chose to pull some of her thoughts together in this book.

Each chapter looks at a different suspect of aspect of the mystery. I've given only three stars not because there was anything particularly wrong with what was written, I think I just expected that Wilkinson had uncovered something new or had a stunning new theory to present! The downside with reading non-fiction books on the Kindle can be that you get to about 75% in and it suddenly ends with the rest of the book being footnotes, bibliography etc.

It is a good and lucid look at the facts and the arguments, so not a bad book, just nothing new and didn't meet the expectations I had formed.

This is now the earliest bought book on my Kindle, coming from March 2014 and since that's nearly 6 years ago, I think it's high time I read it, so here goes.

I struggled with this from the start. I just wasn't connecting with the story at all. My interest heightened a little at the introduction of Alex but then it started to wane again at their antagonistic behaviour. But i realised they had some sort of history that she couldn't remember.

It seemed to take forever for her to piece it all together (view spoiler) I even figured out who the bad guy was going to turn out to be after that vision she fell into.

I also wasn't interested in the thing she had going on with Alex and that's the stuff i read book for, the romance.

I won't be continuing the series.

Note: This is only getting a four star because of the ending; it seemed a little rushed and I would have liked it to be a little longer. I would have gladly given it 5 stars if not for that.

Nevertheless, I really, really, really liked this. It was the forbidden romance aspect mostly I think, add in one sexy, appealing guard who doesn't much care for his job and one innocent prisoner and whew! Blown away!

I was obsessed from the first page to the last and I didn't want to put my kindle down! It was action packed, romantic, heart-breaking...

With how it ended I'm unsure how the next book will go in the series. Will it continue with Cole and Lexi's story? Or will it centre on someone else and involve these two lovebirds? Either way, I look forward to reading the rest.

This is placed at 1.5 but I think it's more of a 0.5 or a 0.1 position in this series since its events take place before [b:Storm|28580871|Storm (Elemental, #1)|Brigid Kemmerer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1452964954s/28580871.jpg|15305022] and probably after [b:Elemental|13418864|Elemental (Elemental, #0.5)|Brigid Kemmerer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1387754610s/13418864.jpg|18769953]. It's a little complicated I guess.

I didn't enjoy this half as much as [b:Storm|28580871|Storm (Elemental, #1)|Brigid Kemmerer|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1452964954s/28580871.jpg|15305022], which I read before this. Both have been on my Kindle for six years so it was about time I read them but this one didn't grab me. I found it rather boring and kinda wanted to punch Hunter's dad in the face a few times.

I'd still love to read the rest of the brothers stories though

So this was my first ever comic on kindle and I have to admit it's completely different to normal. I used to really like reading my Mills & Boon/Silhouette/Harlequin books when I was younger so the chance to read them with pictures? I thought I'd give it a try and I think I enjoyed it more than I would have done just the stories. The skill of the artists to show the emotions of the characters is amazing.

The only thing I didn't like so much was how I was just really getting into the stories and they'd end and the preview for the next book would start. There were admittedly a few that I wouldn't have minded reading the full length versions of but the prices have put me off for a bit. Maybe at Christmas when I get my Amazon Gift Card :D

Hmmm...

I've been eyeing this book up for a few months now. Every time I go in my local Asda Living I hum and ahh over whether to buy it but I wasn't sure if I'd like it. But then I saw it as a Kindle deal and just decided to buy it.

This was a quick easy read but I never really fell into the story. I didn't gel with it that much. I don't know if it was Harriets total geekiness-slash-clumsiness-slash-doesnt know when to shut-up-ness but up until the last 15% or so I found her so awkward as a character.

That's why I wasn't really expecting anything romance wise but that end bit has me a little intrigued as to where things could go with her and Nick so I may just have to buy the next book at some point.

I'd been struggling to get to even half way in this. No offense to the story or anything but i'm in a paranormal mood right now so Kim Harrison's The Hollows series is winning in my kindle vs paperback war and i just can't get into this.

It might have been them getting together so early...I like the whole will they/won't they thing in my romances, so i was really enjoying this until after the China/Japan visit when they declared their love for each other about the 30% mark. It was too soon in my opinion, whether they'd fallen in love three years earlier or not.

Also the prosthetic had nothing on the one in [b:Worth It|32608774|Worth It|S.M. Shade|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1481739183s/32608774.jpg|53191396], which i read not long ago and fell in love with.
