Amazing RH!

This was a fantastic ending to a beautiful series! Kick ass female lead, a hot group of guys, supernatural powers and romance! What more could you want?
It was nice to see Kit confront her demons, and her mother. And she gained a father figure in return. And its amazing to see the group really come together and defeat evil, as cliche as that sounds. And Lucy!!! Plot twist of the century! I could never have seen that coming if her halo hit me in the face! The whole series was a rollercoaster and I literally didn't put my kindle down for 3 straight days! Work be damned! You get so enthralled in her life and you want to know what happens next, even now I need to know about kids and life after!
Tate is a fabulous author and an amazing person (I've met her, so i know its true!) I love all of her books. Check them out!

Siren’s Surrender ( Dark Tides book 2)
By Devyn Quinn
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
Never embracing her mermaid heritage, Gwen Lonike lives in the human world as the owner of a Maine B&B. But when the gateway to a lost mermaid kingdom is opened, freeing its dangerous queen, Gwen can no longer hide, nor keep her secret from covert agent Blake Whittaker, who's assigned to trail a strange thread of paranormal activity.
How long can Gwen and her sisters remain safe from a destructive queen, and from Blake's superiors, whose ultimate mission could prove the greatest threat of all?
This is the second in the series and I did enjoy it but not as much as the first! The end felt a bit rushed and the stay in federal custody seemed to go on about things we really didn’t care about! But we got to see Gwen find her love! An enjoyable series!

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Saga, Vol. 2 in Books

I borrowed this from the Kindle Unlimited Library.
I read the first volume of this years ago and was intrigued by why these two characters were causing a war across almost all the universe and this one explains it a lot more. They are from rival sides of a war and Marko was Alana's prisoner after he handed himself in. They grew closer and she eventually helps him escape his imprisonment. Fast forward a while and almost every assassin in the galaxy is after them. They get interrupted by Marko's parents who cause havoc for a while and we see a few childhood scenes.
I do quite like this series but it isn't grabbing me as much as the other recent Graphic Novel I read is. I'm intrigued as to what's going to happen in the end and if the trio will survive and win the war against everyone who's gunning for them.

Death in a Northern Town ( Deat in a Northern Town 1)
By Peter McKeirnon
Once read a review will be written via Smashbomb and link posted in comments
Follow the zombie outbreak as it happens in the small Northern English town of Runcorn, with journal entries from survivor John Diant, bringing you the apocalypse from his perspective as he goes in search for his missing daughter with his retro, chain smoking best friend 80s Dave.
Bloody brilliant!! I laughed so much! In my opinion it was well written and definitely funny. Love finding little gems like this especially from British authors. The Geese were just a fantastic idea and I loved this apocalypse included animals too. Loved the bloke throw zombies off the high rise block of flats and the zombies heads on pikes.
Can’t wait to read more I would recommend give these authors a go! X

This was not what I expected at all!! Omg I couldn’t stop laughing all the way through it was so funny and witty as well as being romantic too. I genuinely enjoyed it and will be reading more!! I couldn’t put it down! A huge example of don’t judge a book by its cover.

Broken Beasts ( Xoe Meyers book 3)
By Sara C. Roethle
Xoe had hoped that after the events of the last few months, things would finally slow down. No such luck. The werewolves are out for blood, and so are the vampires apparently. Let's not even get started on the problems her own friends are causing. Regardless of the danger, Xoe and her rag-tag entourage are in Moab, facing the werewolf coalition. Their final ruling will change Xoe's fate, and the fate of her friends forever.
Here's hoping that's a good thing. I got the first 3 books in a set and I have to say I’ve really enjoyed them! They are the new Scooby gang a mismatch of supernatural friends! This one was a bit of a slow burner but still kept the story going! I’m looking forward to more demon action as you don’t get it as much as the usual vampire and werewolves! A good start to a decent series!

I finished reading the book today, or perhaps I should say I skimmed the last 18% or so!
I found the book up until then to be a favorable Holmes-Lovecraft mashup. Lovegrove's characterizations felt spot on, especially his [Spoiler Alert] Moriarty. I was especially taken with his reworking of Holmes and Watson's first meeting.
However, as I alluded to in the beginning of my review, as I coasted into the last 18% of it on my Kindle Fire, I found myself beginning to feel sleepy, my eyelids slowly easing their way down. It was at that point that I found myself skimming to get myself to the end.
The ending did not feel as strong as the book started. It felt like it went on too long. By the last page, I was just, "Whew! Glad that's over!". I will most likely check out the other two books in THE CTHULHU CASEBOOKS trilogy, but no rush on that.

I have developed a bit of a recent obsession with Pippa DaCosta books but this one has been on my Kindle for quite a while now, longer than the other two books I've read recently. So here goes:
We meet Charlie Henderson, half demon half human who has an affinity for metal and reading its history. When assassin Stefan walks into her blacksmith shop asking her to read a weapon of his it sets in motion a little mystery for us readers as we try to figure out who's trying to kill Charlie and what Stefan wants with her.
It was all very intriguing as Charlie tried to figure out who to trust and as the story unravelled I was rather caught up in it. I was cheering Charlie on as she finally started to believe in her own strength and lets not forget the romance that began to spark between Charlie and Stefan.
After that ending, I am definitely going straight into book two.

This made me laugh, this made me cry.
I loved finding out the details of what happened that night. How mistaken identity ruined so many lives that night but how strangely it all worked itself out in the end. How meeting that certain girl again made him realise how far he'd fallen and how he tried his best to make himself worthy again.
I feel like I have to give Lucas's mum a mention. She is CRAZY! Every time she's mentioned, she's either saying something about Grandbabies or shouting some sort of sex related word. It was hilarious at times, especially when she was talking about Connect Four.
I also loved how there was an audiobook free in my Kindle Unlimited download of this, my only issue with that is that they spoke slower than I was reading it myself, so I only listened when in the bath but it was still good.

Another book that's been on my kindle since 2013.
Um...i don't know how to put my feelings into words about this one. The beginning bit was hard to read. I think this is the first book where domestic abuse has been described and happened in detail for me and I didn't enjoy reading it. Mia had such a shitty life at the start.
I liked Jordan a lot. He's the kind of guy I like my girls to get with in romances. Looks like a bad arse but is really a great guy once you get to know him.
Another thing I liked was that it wasn't set in a school/college environment like most other new adult books but at the same time, I kinda missed that element of football games, meeting after classes, sorority/fraternity parties... Yeah, I'm hard to please where NA books are concerned simply because I've read so many.
P.S. I love Dozer!
