Queen of Light (The Chosen #4)
By Meg Anne
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Only one of them can win.

Kiri Helena Solene is done burying her loved ones. She is going to put an end to this war, one way or another.

Even if it means she loses herself in the process.

But in matters of war, Rowena has no intention of losing. The Corruptor knows Helena's greatest strength is also her weakness, and she has every intention of exploiting it.

Especially if that means removing key players from the board.

The path ahead is fraught with betrayal. The only thing that's certain....

It won't end until one of them is dead.

Couldn’t have asked for a better ending! Also we had a happy start instead of one with death! Was so lovely to see nial get his make. I won’t say much because I wouldn’t want to spoil the end! I’m certainly ready to move on to the Keepers stories.

Murder Any Witch Way ( Brimstone Bay book 1)
By N.M. Howell
⭐⭐⭐

Being a witch is hard. It's even harder when you live in a town that doesn't believe in witches. When young witch River Halloway moves to sleepy Brimstone Bay for her very first journalist job, she doesn't expect to cover anything ground-breaking. That is, until a paranormal festival comes to town and a body is found on opening night. Now, with all evidence pointing towards a witch, River must find the true killer before she becomes the prime suspect.Or worse, the next murder victim. So much for it being a sleepy little town.

It was ok and I liked it but it could have been so much better. I think it lacked a little personality the characters were a little flat. It was a quick ok to good read with masses of potential.

As one clue leads to another, Sophie and Hugo discover that history is unfolding differently. Mobs rule the streets. And when chaos turns into a deadly revolution, anyone in a grand house is fair game.

Sophie and Hugo are running out of time…

It was good I enjoyed it I’m a huge fan of this kind of time travel especially to a time I really am fascinated with. I’m looking forward to book 2.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After escaping the claws of Corrigan, the Lord Alpha of the Brethren, Mack is trying to lead a quiet lonely life in Inverness in rural Scotland, away from anyone who might happen to be a shapeshifter. However, when she lands a job at an old bookstore owned by a mysterious elderly woman who not only has a familiar passion for herbal lore but also seems to know more than she should, Mack ends up caught in a maelstrom between the Ministry of Mages, the Fae and the Brethren.

Now she has to decide between staying hidden and facing the music, as well as confronting her real feelings for the green eyed power of Corrigan himself.

I really enjoyed this. I love that it’s set in the UK the story is really good the characters are well written i absolutely love Mackenzie she is a strong female lead.

Redemption ( The Warrior 4)
By Rebecca Royce
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Gone from their memories.
Stripped from their minds.

Rachel Clancy made a decision to erase herself form the lives of her friends and family to free herself to make hard decisions--decisions that will impact all of mankind. However, the choice wasn't really hers. Manipulated by a ruthless mastermind to do as he wished, Rachel is now alone--alone in a world of strangers.

Strangers who were her friends.
Strangers who were her family.
Strangers who have no idea who she is.

The book before this completely side tracked me and I was so confused so when I started this is took a few chapters to swing back into the world but it actually turned out one of the best so far. I’m so pleased it unraveled the way it has without spoiling it for anyone. It’s one crazy world!

Loving L ( Damaged Souls Golden Hearts 1)
By Amy J. Heart
⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love is torture. Love is pain. Until the right person at the wrong time changes everything.
From the sordid streets to a life of luxury, things are finally looking up for me. Then I meet Eden.

Sweet. Beautiful. Everything I ever dreamed of...except she's under the control of the greatest tormentor from my past.

Blackmail. Corruption. Even murder. Am I prepared to do the unthinkable to keep her safe?

Damn right I am.

That didn’t take long at all I enjoyed it too. It can be a bit hard to read in places and does come with an abuse trigger warning but I think it was dealt with quite well. The characters were likeable and well written and their stories heartbreaking. A bit spicy so overall a good read for a dark romance.

Fractured:part 2 ( Society book 12)
By Mason Sabre
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The second and final instalment of Fractured. When Cade MacDonald made a bargain with his father—his alpha, he never suspected he was sacrificing the very person who meant the world to him. Torn between his love for Gemma, and his loyalty to Natalie, Cade must choose. His life, or the one thing he wants more than anything, Gemma? Especially when he is investigating the murder of a young shifter who was slaughtered for the same secret Cade holds close to his own heart, he must face more truths than his soul can stand.

I freaking loved it!!!! This is what I was looking forward to. Finally seeing something play out with Cade and Gemma and wow is this going to be interesting going forward. The ending had me almost cheering and waking my husband as it’s 2am! Can’t wait to see where we go from here.

The Bell Chime
By Mona Kabbani
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

"Can you hear the bell chime?"

A girl suffering from paralyzing night terrors finds a missing poster hanging from the door of her apartment building. On that poster is a photograph of a frighteningly familiar face.

It’s her.

Only, she’s never seen this photo before and something about its grin scares her. How its eyes seem to follow her no matter where she finds herself in the room.

Over a series of strange events to follow—events that will make her question whether her sanity is still there or fleeting—she must discover:

What is real and what is the nightmare?

This was eerily sad in so many ways. As someone who deals with psychosis and depression it struck home so hard! The question in the the foreword is thought provoking what exactly would you give up for peace of mind or happiness? Really well written.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Abbie wakes in a hospital bed with no memory of how she got there. By her side is her husband Tim, the driven British founder of one of the world's most ground-breaking tech companies. They met when she joined his startup as artist-in-residence, their marriage a Silicon Valley fairy tale.

But as Abbie's memories return, she realises there's something missing from Tim's version of events. Because, five years ago, Abbie Cullen-Scott was pronounced dead . . .

I couldn’t fault this book I had to go with 5⭐️. It was so bloody good. I asked my husband if he could remake me would he? He said no bloody chance ones enough! Guess I’m not the perfect wife 🤣🤣.
The ending to this was intense and definitely a twist I didn’t know where it was going. Really enjoyed it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After fleeing Manchester for London, Constance Little attempts to put past tragedies behind her and make a fresh start. When she embarks on a relationship with the new doctor at the medical practice where she works, she’s convinced she’s finally found the love and security she craves.

Then he ends it.

But if life has taught her anything, it’s that if you love someone, you should never let them go.

That's why for Constance Little, her obsession is only just beginning . . .

This was a really really good read. I mean from that first chapter you are hooked and need to know how she ended up in the situation, you will not be disappointed! This is a tragic story of loss and obsession it leaves you feeling uneasy and unsure of who to feel bad for. Really good read.
