This book was for a younger audience however I did enjoy it. It was easy reading and reminded me of my days at school. So I would say the intended audience was probably teenagers who are going through school. They would probably be really able to relate. I would recommend this book to this audience.
The blurb grabbed my attention but it was a shame the story didn't end when the book did. I wanted to read the full details of how Ray became disabled as we were only teased with a bit of information about it in this book. The books are only available on Amazon and I have a Kobo so am unable to read them. Kobo do not support Amazon books.
The author's writing helped each character have their own personality which helped distinguish each character. Their personalities shone though.
The character's changed slightly throughout the book. This looks to be all down to Ray but also people change as they go through the school year and when new people come into their friendship group.
I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.

Suswatibasu (1701 KP) rated Audible – audio books, original series & podcasts in Apps
Nov 2, 2017 (Updated Nov 2, 2017)
Yay to content, nay to app
I'm torn between giving this a good rating for its content and a bad rating for the app itself, which is the worst on my phone.
Audible itself, is an absolutely brilliant service for those who listen to a lot of audiobooks. For one, the collection is mammoth, much more than Kobo and Scribd. And while one credit doesn't seem like much per month for a book, the daily deals are pretty great and reasonably priced. As a result, I'm able to read two books simultaneously, as well as multitask while listening.
The app on the other hand, is the bane of my existence. While you want to look at your stats as it collects the number of hours you listen to per day, if you pause it for a second, it resets to zero. This is for Android in particular. The bugs are a serious problem, which is why I've complained to Amazon several times about this to no avail. So content yes, app itself no.

I really enjoyed this book. There are parts which does remind me of Harry Potter which was a little disappointing but I love Harry Potter so it didn't bother me much. This is the type of book I would read but haven't read for a while due to the age I believe it is aimed at. I do like to go back to books I used to read as it is a bit like nostalgia.
I was hooked form page 1 and that is rare for a book as it usually takes me a couple of chapters.
This also got my imagination going and I could visualize everything I was reading.
I connected with the character in a way that I was annoyed that no-one could see what was going on what the sister.
I feel the book exceeded the blurb.
I am hoping to read the rest of the books in the series but they don't appear to be on Kobo yet.

This was book was such an emotional read. It had ups and downs. Although it was not graphic you still knew exactly what this guy went through. It was described so well but without being too graphic.
I really felt for the character and what he had and was going through.
I have a read a few books like this, in terms of the type of audience but haven't read this type of story before.
I didn't like the ending but after reading the author's comments afterwards I completely understood the decision to do this and it made a lot more sense. It added to the story as well and got the author's point across. I also want to know what that character said right at the end of the book.
I enjoyed how strong the main character got throughout the book.
The only problem with this book is it kept resetting to the first page every time I turned on my Kobo which was very frustrating.
It was better than the blurb's description.
Please note I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author via Voracious Readers Only.
