So many things being represented! Like LGBTQ+, abuse, assualt, depression, etc. (1 more)
Ghosts + love + death + dark back story = recipe for the best book ever!
The beginning is a little confusing, but it ties up well in the second half. (0 more)
A wicked ghost story that will satisfy every need!
I absolutely loved this novel!! I couldn't get enough of it and didn't want it to end. There's LGBTQ+ representation, romance, death, mystery, family drama, talk of suicide and domestic violence. I mean A Room Away From the Wolves has it all!

The only reason why this novel isn't sitting at a 5-star rating is that it was a little confusing in the beginning. I didn't quite understand the story-line and plot and the characters seemed to be lacking. But once I actually delved deeper into the novel, I got my answers and everything became clear yet again.

This books does an amazing job or taking us through the complexities of coming out not only to others but to ourselves. The diversity of cultures really hits on what life really is like including the "toxic" people we may come in contact. Farizan does an amazing job capturing the emotions of her characters. Also it is nice not to have an LGBTQ novel that is all about sex but more the complexities of feelings and relationships.

Overall, this was a great read. Some parts were completely terrible while others were absolutely fantastic. I would only reread parts of this novel as certain stories are better than the others but all in all, it’s a 4 star read.

Type: Stand-alone/ multiple short stories contained in one book

Interests: Witchcraft, Short Stories, LGBTQ+, Romance, Family, Multiple POV’s.

Point of View: Multiple of different characters

Audience/ Reading Level: 14+ as there are some serious scenes that are a bit more mature.

A Great Coming Out Book
This book was very well written. It hits on the angst of fist love, especially if that is a LGBTQ love. I really do not think people understand how hard it is to accept that you may be gay when all your life you are told it is wrong. I think Mitchell really did a fantastic job of introducing and confronting those issues with believable characters. I read this book in one sitting.

Demon-fighting, gun-slinging Wonder Woman
Season 1 was great, season 2 takes it to a whole new level. Show runner, Emily Andras, really knows how to make viewers feel all the feels. You'll go from laughing to crying to ready to punch someone in one scene. The amazing actors have definitely brought their A game this season to bring Emily's vision to life. If you like strong female characters, LGBTQ representation, demon fighting, and/or a show that'll keep you on the edge of your seat, this is the show for you.
