Lady Midnight
Welcome back to the world of Shadowhunters. Those who are familiar with Mortal Instruments would find the familiar world reassuring. However, this one is a little more charged and complex than earlier one's. This one is a little overboard with inevitability of love and sacrifice. However, for readers of Cassandra Clare, that would be a given and even expected.

In the battle between brains and brawn, it's nice to watch brains come out on top in the looks department! Although the social ineptness of highly intelligent people is portrayed, it's refreshing to see the journey each character makes throughout each season. The storylines aren't as far-fetched as some may perceive, with the fantastic Kathy Reichs giving her anthropological insight to the script.

Lady Georgiana sets out to start life on her own in 1920's London. Unfortunately, her social status means she isn't fit for any normal job. Even worse, there's the dead man in her bathtub. The mystery starts late, but I enjoyed every moment of this series debut.

Cora Felton meets her Japanese counterpart as a mysterious death happens in town. Now it's a race for honor to solve the crime. There's plenty of humor in this book, and the story is pretty good. But the characters are getting stale, especially Dennis. Enjoyable, but most for the fans.

Blew me away
I really did not expect to enjoy this film as much as I did. I have never seen the original versions so I don't know how it compares but I really loved this film. The acting and singing is so good from Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. This film just draws you in and make sure you have some tissues handy. I absolutely loved it.
Erika (17789 KP) rated My Plain Jane: The Lady Janies Book 2 in Books

This was an entertaining riff on Jane Eyre. As with the first book in the 'Lady Janies' trilogy, there are three main characters that cycle through the chapters. I liked that Charlotte Bronte herself was one of the narrators. It followed fairly closely to the original in the beginning, with a few deviations, as would be expected. It was largely predictable, but I didn't mind because I was entertained.

I went in to this movie thinking this was going to be a kids movie that inwas going to be bored with. I was surprised it was good. I tale of a young lady going on a journey to find herself. Well there is more to it than that. If you have kids go to it. Even if you dont have kids but like animation check it out.
