In times of war people have been known to go to drastic measures. Where will loyalties lie when the truth comes out?

Mr. McKinnon, or rather Rees Phillips, has been sent as a butler, a spy, into the house of Lady Céline Wexham. Céline is a French émigré who is most likely a spy herself. Although as he gets to know her his loyalty to his homeland falters. It is 1813 and word has it that Bonaparte will soon be conquered. The royalists long to reestablish the monarchy in France, however Lady Wexham is in favor of the republic. She has made enemies of the French and the British. Will Rees follow his country, his heart, or God’s call?

Moonlight Masquerade is an exquisite tale of love in regency England. Intrigue, espionage, masquerades and highwaymen fill the pages of this book from beginning to end. It is a very moving story filled with sorrow and joy. Ruth Axtell did a wonderful job detailing where our true loyalties must lie. First and foremost to God. Our path will become clear, if not easy, as long as we rely on Him to guide us.

Ekene is a singer-songwriter and producer from Nigeria. Not too long ago, he released a charming Afrobeat tune, entitled, “Good Girl”.

“She get everything I want. I love my lady. I no go lie. She be the real fine lady. Wey dey blow ma mind. She nor dey stress me o. She no dey form. My Nigerian woman, nwanyi ọma.” – lyrics

‘Good Girl’ tells an adorable tale of a young guy who cherishes the special Nigerian woman in his life. Apparently, she’s a beautiful good girl who has everything he wants and much more.

Therefore, he loves her wholeheartedly because she gives him peace of mind and doesn’t stress him out.

‘Good Girl’ contains a relatable storyline and pleasing vocals. Also, the song possesses rhythmic instrumentation flavored with Afrobeat, world, and tropical-dance elements.

“Good girls make the world go ‘round. The song is basically bragging about how life is easy for a man who has a good girl in his life.” – Ekene

Ekene was born in Lagos State and raised in his hometown Ibusa, Delta State. Also, as a music producer, he is known as Keasungs.

The second book in the Secrets & Seductions series but a standalone (as they all are), Lady Catherine's Secret tells of her rise to 'Lady' from Miss, as well as her secret fetish... fencing! Now obviously, in 1853 ladies had very strict guidelines to follow and fencing was definitely something not on that list. Cat isn't about to let that stop her though, and uses an alias of Alexander Gray so that she can attend lessons. Things change though when a new Lord appears on the scene. With mischief and mayhem, will Cat keep her secret?

I loved this story! Sheridan Jeane conveys just how much Cat is breaking the rules, and what could happen if anyone finds out, with admirable aplomb! Weaving in deals gone sour, ladies chasing after a husband, blackmail and kidnap, as well as a cameo appearance by Cecilia of It Takes A Spy... fame, this story skips along at a steady pace, keeping you intrigued and delighted as you do so.

Very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to distract the eye, this book is a solid read, thoroughly enjoyable in every way. Definitely recommended by me.

First things first, when I woke up today I did not think I would be in church today, but this film had piked my interest as I like a good trueish story.
Right next thing it did not help the lights came on at the start of the film & I was the only idiot that thought you should tell somebody oh & dick in front of me was eating the loudest food possible which forced me to move.
To the film. Every film based on actual events has to be taken with a pinch of salt. People in America have boycotted this film mainly their American hero is portrayed but an English lady. That should not really matter as this story of a very brave lady needed to be told. It is really well done & the way some of the music incorporated into the film is a clever touch. It manages to highlight how barbaric being a slave was and luckily it has mostly been eradicated these days. An underrated film that is a good education about a part of American's dark history. 8/10

Movie Favorite

"You know, I haven’t seen the film in a very long time, but because it was another thing that my sister and I, as kids, would watch — the film Lady Jane, with Helena Bonham Carter. And Helena Bonham Carter was, I think she was like, 17. I feel funny saying that’s one of my favorite films, but it really inspired us, and we’re both actors now, and she is, to us, still amazing. When I watched it, I just remember thinking, “Oh my gosh, that’s my dream,” to play that role. I love her. Lady Jane started my love of period films and the British accent, which I’m obsessed with. I just did my first one. I did a medieval film [Ironclad] that… Do you know Jason Flemyng? He’s one of my really good friends. As soon as I heard Jason Flemyng was doing it and that it was medieval, I was like, I don’t even care what it’s about — I gotta do it just for the fun. I was the only girl on the movie. It was hilarious. And yes, I got to do my British accent."
