"Aftermath is one of my favourite Stones albums because it's the first record Mick and Keith wrote all the songs on, there were no covers. It was recorded at RCA studios in Los Angeles in-between dates of their American tours. It has great tracks like 'Under My Thumb', 'I Am Waiting', 'Stupid Girl', 'Lady Jane' and 'Goin' Home'. It has incredible sounds like a distorted bass, which is almost like a pre-Public Image, post-punk bass sound. Also, Brian Jones plays the marimba, harpsichord, sitar and loads of other different instruments. It's a very interesting album and one of my favourites. It sounds more like an American record than an English one. It sounds like the Stones have finally found their voice. A beautiful record with a cool cover as well."

Julianne Moore turns in an amazingly subtle performance as a rich white lady struggling with a mysterious autoimmune disease who retreats to a wellness community. Her character predates all the gluten free, anti-vaxxer, yoga-obsessed, Goop-reading, Lyme-diseased ladies of today and shows what empty, sad, colorless lives their “authentic selves” are left to lead . . . Namaste, motherfuckers. While Safe is all muted colors, on the other side of the spectrum, there’s the in-your-face brash vision of Terry Gilliam’s 1985 masterpiece Brazil. His plastic-surgery-victim women are camera-ready for a 2016 The First Wives of Beverly Hills reality show. I love this movie’s intoxicating mix of humor and horror."

"I saw this opening night, loved the first thirty minutes, phased in and out for the rest. I really liked Alden Erenreich’s performance, the visual effects were top-notch and of course Bradford Young’s cinematography was a wonder, but otherwise I didn’t really feel strongly about it one way or another. Maybe, like most of the world, I didn’t need more STAR WARS just yet – but several months later, whilst on a long flight, I guess I definitely did because I randomly decided to rewatch the opening scene and before I knew it the credits were rolling. Freed of expectations, scaled down to an 8 inch Lufthansa screen, SOLO was a delight. I’m not too broken up about not getting additional young Han adventures, but I could definitely use more Lady Proxima in my life."
