"I’m actually going into my favorite filmmakers and trying to pick the best of their films. Because it’s really hard, it’s very very hard to pick your five best[-loved] films. And it would change; if you asked me next week, it would be different. Psycho because…the moment where — and it’s a film I saw on television; I can’t imagine how impactful it would have been to have seen it theatrically when it was first released, but even seeing it as a kid on TV — the moment where Hitchcock, about 30 minutes into the film, kills his leading lady, and you go, “We’re in the hands of a complete madman, and all bets are off at this stage,” was such a powerful thing for me. It’s kind of haunted me ever since, and again, you can only dream of making a film that has that level of impact to an audience."

A great looking and fun horror film that leans too heavily on jump scares
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark - the overall plot of this film is a fun one, and the nature of it revolving around short stories enables the movie to explore different creatures and dangers without having to worry too much about plot connection.

There are some really creepy shots throughout (The Pale Lady in the red corridors will definitely stick with me) but the scares end there. The movie relies on cheap jump scares a bit too much, with many scenes of uncomfortable silence before a SUDDEN SCARY THING! pops out at you. It becomes tiresome fairly quickly.

The designs of the creatures themselves are pretty good, and the darkness of most scenes masks obvious CGI effectively.
I'm fact, the films looks pretty good throughout.

As a horror film, it's pretty tame, but it's fun, and I would recommend a watch if horror is your bag.

Brilliant thriller!
Brilliant films with really good characters.

The story line is amazing and allows your to fully understand the characters feelings and emotions and shows what there going through and how tough life is at this moment in time.

It all starts with a lady going through a tough divorce, she is already late trying to get her child to school she looses her biggest client and her soon to be ex-husband is making her life tough. Pulling up to a junction she honks her horn to a guy that doesn't seem to be moving........this was the wrong move as she soon learns this maniac doesn't let things go and begins stalker her and making her pay for her 'rudeness' and unforgiving personality. This is a matter of life and death as she puts everyone she knows in danger, plenty of gore and kept me in the edge of my seat throughout.

Highly recommended.
