SURROUNDED BY SILENCE is the second book in The Rescuer series and while it does feature some of the characters from the first book, can be read as a standalone because the issues raised are discussed in this book.

Sam has reached rock bottom and has realised that for all his billions, he can't buy happiness. He reaches out to the one person he thinks can help and manages to convince him. That is how Sam ends up working in a Soup Kitchen.

I enjoyed this book so much more than the first (sorry, Mr Huffbind!) The writing style is not as stilted and flowed more naturally. The dialogue was more believable and the "I love you's" weren't bandied around as quickly or as often.

The terror that Sam feels toward the end of the book comes across clearly and was extremely well written. The whole problem with learning ASL was also easy to read. As someone who was learning BSL, I know how daunting it can be but also how rewarding.

All in all, this book was completely enjoyable and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Very poor compared to interview with the Vampire (0 more)
Would make Lestat turn in his coffin
A totally different type of Vampire film to The interview with the Vampire. It uses the same character Lestat from the first, who now awakes in current times, and decides to become a rock star....much to the anger of many other Vampires. It was an ok film, pity it didn't have a better story, or bigger budget. The effects are ok, the most enjoyable part was learning some history of Lestat's character. Overall not bad if you like Vampire films but a poor follow on from the first film.

Hi there everyone! I'm completely new here, so I'm still learning what to do and how to do it! I'm a writer of romance, I write both mainstream romance as well as lesbian romance. My books are published and can be found at Amazon.com under my name. I have three series out currently. My brand of romance is somewhat different from the classic romances, first of all there's action, I write mostly law enforcement, military or music industry related fiction. My characters deal with things like PTSD, mental health and violence against women. My female characters are ALWAYS strong women, I write them the way I want women to be perceived.

Danvers' sister has gotten her own reality show, much to Miss Piggy's dismay. Meanwhile, the new student at Danvers' school is a jokester who makes Danvers and his friends the main target. Can Danvers use what he is learning from the Muppets to take this guy on?

There are so many story lines happening, yet everything keeps weaving together perfectly. Meanwhile, the Muppets and the new characters are all enjoyable. I just wish Pepe didn't use "okay" every time he was on the page, okay?
