Struggled with her so-called pioneering female character
I know, it's rather shocking - I am not a big fan of Jane Eyre. Having read it at school and analysed it to death, it made me realise how much I hated her character (apologies to the fans). She is seen to be 'ahead of her time' for leaving and attempting to forge her own life, yet she falls for Rochester's charms, allowing his wife (the mad woman in the attic) to burn to death. To be fair, I struggle with most period books because of its lack of pro-feminist content.

I quite hated the ending of Enterprise. Trip was one of my favorite characters, and his sudden death under odd circumstances annoyed me. I'm so grateful to have found this book, bring Trip back for me. Though I don't like his new life of secrecy, he is at least still alive. I liked the exploration in the bonds between Trip and T'pol, and Shran and Jhamel, and the overall history cover up of Trip's death that Nog and Jake discovered. It did reminisce "These are the voyages..." a bit with Jake and Nog, but I thought it was a clever transition.

What goes around comes around
A sequel rarely stacks up against the original but in this case, it does.
A plot almost identical to its predecessor which quickly changes saving the movie from a copy paste review.
This better take on inception (because inception sucks) adds players to its life and death game starting off at day 1.

Includes original cast and new members, with a faster pace than the 1st, happy death day 2U is a rollercoaster of fun.
If you enjoyed the 1st, you'd be outta your freaking mind to miss this.

Dark humorous tone throughout.

"My favorite Max Ophuls film. I love the swirling camera that mirrors the circus ring, and the ring of life. The story of Lola Montès (Martine Carol) and her many conquests, reenacted as a circus performance, narrated by ringmaster Peter Ustinov. It concludes with a death-defying plunge into a tub of water to symbolize her ultimate fall from grace."

Cliche and boring
The idea was good but the execution was terrible. Awful filmography, script and the acting was over done. Seemed to be random decisions that lead to life and death.

At one point we were just focused on someone's stomach whilst the main character spoke to him due to the height difference

Fresh entry in the horror genre
This movie puts you directly in the shoes of the main characters, where even the slightest noise could turn any moment into a life or death situation. It's all tied together by mysterious predators, and the unbreakable bond of family.

I am not normally a fan of books without a “proper” ending, however this book finishes in the perfect place.

It follows Mia after a terrible car accident when she then has to decide is she wants to stay. The book is written very well between what is happening now and previous events from Mia’s life.

This book will make you think about life and death and how you would cope with certain situations.

Very exciting, it would appear there is a sequel set a few years later.

My favourite book this year!!
Another book that deserves more than 5 stars. I loved this - a book that I thought about constantly, even when I wasn't reading it. The story of Cyril Avery's life, from the moment his mother is ejected from the village church and the village itself, up until near his death. An absolutely wonderful story. I laughed (a lot), I cried.
Highly recommended!!!

The death of a retired school teacher shocks the community of Three Pines. But was it an accident or murder? It took me quite a while to sort out the characters. Once I did, I really got hooked on them and the story.

"A shatteringly beautiful memoir about Hinton’s life on death row for 28 years for a crime he did not commit. It’s a real downer to read about something as dark and unfortunate as wrongful incarceration, but Mr. Hinton expresses himself with a heart incomprehensibly swollen with love and gives meaningful insight into his alienating experience. And he does so with a disarming sense of humor."
