I really liked this; it made me laugh, cry and want to smack Joe a few times, but he tended to look pained enough without my help.

It was certainly a mystery and I was easily drawn into it from the first few chapters. Who'd want to kill a (horrible) old woman? A well known member of the community? I was certainly stumped since I knew it couldn't be Rose, who probably had the motive but was too nice a person.

I really liked both Joe and Rose and was urging them to get together from early on especially when he was being so nice and helpful to her after her mums murder while everyone else treated her like crap. Not the nicest little town to live in.

It wasn't hard to figure something weird was going on with Joe with all his pained looks and disappearing acts and I was intrigued as to what it would be. I wasn't disappointed.

Looking forward to reading more of this series!

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star by Joe Rhatigan is a wonderful and different version of the classic version of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. This version involves cats. Twinkle twinkle is a star and her feline friends are trying to find a way to visit. But balloon, dogs, and even some cake can not help the cats get to twinkle. The upside we learn why cats “sing” at night. The illustrations are brights, colorful, and it's full of fun. It is an old book with a cute twist.

I give this book 4/5 stars.

I received this ARC from Quarto Publishing Group and Moondance Press via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Unique stories
I am bias in regards to Peter S. Beagle, however, it is warranted. His stories are both timeless and changing. I am ridiculously happy with the story spook Joe Farrell is my hero. Each world different and unique. I would enjoy this as an audiobook, it seemed that most of his stories should be spoken. Whether to be redeemed in a fantasy world or playing stickball with a witch in NYC this fantasy collection has a little something for everyone.
