This was just the cutest thing! I love the little props, especially the library. Nancy Rose did an amazing job at capturing these little guys at just the right moments (even if it did take hundreds of photos to get the right ones). Just too adorbs.

"Well, to be honest, it’s the first little book that’s in the [Imagination Library] program. It’s The Little Engine That Could. Because I’m the little engine that did. I always say that “I thought I could, I thought I could” and “I think I can, I think I can, and I still think I can.” So I think that’s a great little inspirational book. It really kinda sums me up pretty good."

I love being able to see what books I’ve read and how many I’ve read so far this year.

I also like sharing my opinions on the books I read and seeing what my friends are reading.

Excellent little app.

Another cute little Maisy book which my daughter enjoyed. My local library has recently reopened after being closed for over a year for refurbishments so I thought I would celebrate with my daughter with a book about the library. It was cute and all done in the original Maisy style. There were only a couple things to do with the storyline which I wasn't so keen on. The book introduced us to some services that may not be available in your local library, so it might be worth having a read through first before reading it to a child as once you say 'oh, we can't do that at ours', you might have a disappointed kiddie. Also, I would of liked if the book focused more on the 'books' part of the library more than just messing around with friends. In my opinion this meant that this book missed some really good opportunities to make libraries more exciting for children.

Firstly, that continuous shot at Dunkirk beach is fantastic. I love everything Keira Knightly is in, and her and James McAvoy are perfect together (that library scene...). The acting is brilliant, and the story is so good on film (book-not so much).
This film always makes me cry, it softens my little stone, black heart.

The first in a new series, the invisible library is one I couldn't put down. I loved that it was a mystery surrounding the acquisition of my favorite thing in the world...books. I would have liked a little more backstory about the library itself in the beginning but it wasn't any real hindrance to the story. The action starts from the very beginning and the adventure continues until the end. I can't wait to read the next book and immerse myself back into this wonderful world. Highly recommended! Thanks to Penguin and First to Read for the ARC!

"This collection of poetry and prose is a little like going for a long hike out into the redwoods and coming upon a beautiful library, well lit, and cozy and there’s no one but you and all these amazing books that you are welcome to read as long as you treat everything with the respect it deserves. Wouldn’t that be an amazing experience?"

This one was different from the rest: there was no major Reaper attack in the library. Yes, there was a little incident but it was with the journey to Denver that we had our run in with the Reapers and Gwen and friends kicked their arses (as usual).

I can't help wondering if book 6 is the last book in the series or not? On to it soon, anyway.
