Worthless, if this is what murdered the prospect of more hand-drawn 2D animated films from Disney then you know what... that was a fair reaction. No contest one of the most obnoxious movies they've ever put out - it's hard to believe that the most powerful entertainment juggernaut of today was putting out the equivalent of 4th party direct-to-dvd misfires as their major year releases just 15 or so years ago. I mean fuck this is somehow worse than their live action remakes... the shot at a more traditional 2D movie is noble but it's handled with zero clarity and the attempts at 3D/2.5D are dire - so the entire thing looks repugnant, *real* violently butt-ugly shit. Don Bluth was already doing this stuff colossally better half a decade before with the aesthetically glorious đđȘđ”đąđŻ đ.đ. but you all let that bomb and this make money. Roseanne Barr's phoned in voice acting is somehow still more tolerable than Cuba Gooding Jr's objectionable Chris Rock impersonation. Lame, inauthentic "old west" tropes smeared carelessly onto an empty script full of platitudes. My least favorite kind of movie, and the food puns make me want to die.

In the first Science Fiction by Erin Kellison I have read, we have a wedding, politics, love, betrayal and goodness knows what else!
Mica left Sol five years ago to follow her dream, although this did mean leaving her lover behind. Simon had his own plans for Mica and himself that he never told her, pride and circumstance getting in the way. Things go well for Mica, but not so good for Simon. It is due to these circumstances that Simon shoots down Mica's craft, not knowing that she is the pilot. Choices have to be made by Mica and Simon - will they ever be able to trust each other, and be together, again?
This novella packs a punch as you have pretty much everything you could wish for. You get a back story, plot, and possible future. You learn about their political system, about the different categories of planets, and the different people who live on them. With plenty of action and adventure, this is a delightful first story in the Sol Sisters series. Definitely recommended by me.

Another day, another "live action retelling" of a Disney classic that manages to disappoint. With the exception of Maleficent and most of The Jungle Book (and I guess Aladdin wasn't completely horrible), these Disney remakes have been duds, thanks to the general air of hollow souless-ness that surrounds them. This is precisely the main detriment with Pinocchio. It's existence in the first place invites comparisons to the original, a truly beloved animation. In turn, this remake offers nothing of value. Anything new on display feels vapid, and everything familiar is far superior within the source material. You have to ask "well what was the point"? It was the same with Mulan. It was the same with Cinderella. It was the same with The Lion King, and I have no doubt that it will be the same with Hercules when that eventually arrives. Disney seem content with shitting out lifeless rehashes for a quick buck and it's probably not going to change.
Tom Hanks tries his best. Monstro looks kind of cool. Jiminy Cricket being voiced scarily accurately by Joseph Gordon Levitt is low key hilarious. Otherwise, this movie is only good for fire wood.

This is the action-packed and emotion-filled story of Fergus and Mary, an Alpha Wolf and a Fae. Mary doesn't know anything about Fergus in 'real time', but they have been getting to know each other in the dreamglide since Fergus helped to rescue her a month previously. It starts with Fergus losing a Dominance battle and being left for dead, but quickly moves on to become an intriguing and suspenseful story, with more at stake than "just" a relationship.
Amber Flame is exceedingly well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, with a smooth pace that builds up to an eventful climax, both for our main male and female, but also for Savage itself. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this story, and now I'm hoping for Warren to get his story! So many great characters live in the Five Realms, and I want all of their stories! Definitely recommended.

Amber Flame is exceedingly well-written, with no editing or grammatical errors that I found, with a smooth pace that builds up to an eventful climax, both for our main male and female, but also for Savage itself. I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this story, and now I'm hoping for Warren to get his story! So many great characters live in the Five Realms, and I want all of their stories! Definitely recommended.

Story: We get a future world where humans have been nearly wiped out by a virus, good start. We have information about a dictator who has taken over because he had the cure of the virus and making sure his family stays in charge, Aeon is hired to kill him so a change can happen, but the first of many twists stops this. We have two people that both sides in a potential war want dead but these two hold the secret that could save mankind forever. We have seen it all before and in the future world we struggle to see a truly original idea, the twists save this from being plain boring but with very little use of supporting characters we donât get much here. (6/10)

Charlize Theron: Aeon Flux deadly assassin who is assigned to kill Trevor Goodchild, but when she has a past connection with him she helps him uncover a truth that can change the future forever. Solid performance trying to make something out of a little known source material. (7/10)

My first, but certainly not my last Chris Beckett book
I really enjoyed this strange, singular work of science fiction. Inspector Ben Ronson arrives in a mysterious forest in South America: the Submundo Delta. Itâs a place unlike any other: purple flora and unrecognisable fauna, and a humanoid race called Duendes. They canât hear or speak, live in the waters of the Delta, and their mere presence causes people to expose their innermost thoughts and fears. Which is why the people who live there, the Mundinos, kill any that they find near their villages, as they donât see them as equal to humans - and this is why Ben is there. He and the human rights people in Geneva want to stop the killings.
The writing style and the language used in this book really appealed to me - itâs poetic, descriptive and the story meanders along as we learn about the characters and the Submundo Delta. This is no action packed story, and thatâs just fine with me. Instead it looks at how these characters deal with knowing their innermost thoughts, desires and fears. It also briefly looks at the morals of bringing science and technology to a shut off part of the world.
What really appealed to me, is how our memories construct our views of ourselves, and how we portray ourselves to others. It also looks at those parts that we keep hidden from others, and what happens when they are laid open to everyone. Rather scary, to be honest! We donât always like those parts of ourselves.
This was my first Chris Beckett book, and I donât think it will be my last.
