Huge battle scenes at Helm's Deep
Great action scenes
Epic story
Brilliant Sfx
Cinema at its best
My favourite of the Lord of the Rings films. I prefer the battle scenes in this one. The Gandalf vs the Balrog is a scene you won't forget. Everything about the film is top quality, production, sets, costumes, Sfx, the score. Combine that with a great all star cast and an epic story make this an amazing film.

The 8th anthology contains plenty more laughs with the Fox clan. Covering Fall of 1999 to Summer of 2001, we get such great moments as Jason looking forward to the Lord of the Rings, Paige making high school flashcards, and Peter trying to get through Hamlet. This family always makes me laugh, and this book is no exception.

Good Sfx for the early 80's
Great fantasy adventure
Before Lord of the Rings this was the closest you got to a fantasy/action epic. Had good SFX for the time of filming '83! It has a wide range of characters and creatures as a group come together to rescue a princess. A little surprise it was a pg rating. Younger kids might find it a bit scary. Featuring a young Robbie Coltrane and Liam Neeson.

Perfection
Just as good as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. We embark on a new journey, with mostly new characters, but some 'old' ones are still present. This time, the crew consists of mostly dwarves, which is always fun and interesting, considering the fact that we barely saw dwarves in LotR. As any story, it starts on a positive note, but we all know that all of this will end with war and some people dying, just not in the first movie.
