Dark Blue- is a good crime thriller.

The plot: Set in the Los Angeles Police Department in 1992, "Dark Blue" is a thriller that takes place just days before the acquittal of four white officers in the beating of black motorist Rodney King and the subsequent L.A. riots. In this racially charged climate, the LAPD's elite Special Investigations Squad is assigned a quadruple homicide. As they work the case, detective Eldon (Kurt Russell), tutors SIS rookie Bobby (Scott Speedman) in the realities of police intimidation and corruption.

I would highly recordmed watching it.

"Maysles double feature! I was reminded of this one the other day when I encountered a large female raccoon in the middle of Los Angeles. As she licked her paws with urbane nonchalance, I thought to myself, “Holy crap, Big Edie and Little Edie had one of those living in their wall. Hard-core.” I love how ceaselessly imaginative Little Edie is. “Staunch character” indeed. She’s like a fabulous nun in a one-woman order. And Big Edie is dry-as-a-bone hilarious. I don’t view this as a tragedy. There’s probably a Grey Gardens on every street in America."

With the new single Tough Love from Molly Moore we get attitude and some badass groove. Molly Moore has been paying the bills writing hits for artists like Felix Cartal and DubVision ever since her early days in New York City. Now based in Los Angeles she is moving sonically into a more experimental production style and looking to build on the success of her debut EP Shadow of the Sun.

Moore discusses her plan to push her sound a bit closer to Banks and London Grammar; we think she has already found a place between Annie Lennox and Jamie Lidell.
