It was amazing
The movie was absolutely astonishing. Not only was Hugh Jackman included but the songs were great and so catchy and it’s a family friendly film that everyone can enjoy.
However, although it is a great movie, it in a way celebrates P.T Barnum as someone who empowered people when in reality he exploited them for his own benefit.
For instance, one of his earliest “hits” was Joice Heth, a blind, partially paralysed slave. Barnum claimed she was 161 years old (even though she was half that) and when she died, he held a public autopsy and charged people to watch. Obviously we wouldn’t see Jackman do that.
However, without any reference to what Barnum was actually like, I love this film so much and would definitely watch it again.

I enjoyed this.

I found it easy to read and the plot was interesting. The sub-plot of realising she was falling in love with her best friend was an added bonus.

Never in a million years would I have guessed who the bad guy was, it was definitely a mystery trying to figure it out and the chapters from his POV were chilling at times. His lack of feeling for what he was about to do and the pleasure he got from getting the girls to trust him. *shivers*

As for Jay and Violet, they were likable though Violet was a bit blind when it came to Jay's feelings. I'm sorry, Vi, but it was obvious from early on that he cared about you in more than a friendly manner.

"Wallace is not for everyone, but he is for me. My blind spot in my own work is ‘the evil that men do.’ I think I know a thing or two about the way people love, but I don’t know anything about hatred, psychosis, cruelty. Or maybe I don’t have the guts to admit that I do. Wallace writes brilliantly about hideous men and hideous women and the hideous culture that produces them. Reading Wallace for the first time was also about the hideous revelation of a talent a lot bigger than mine. You can take it when the competition is dead people—it’s harder when they’re alive. Wallace’s prose has brought me as much envy as it has joy over the years. He makes me more ambitious for myself."

I loved that the main character Is a bit crazy and klutzy. Fell in love but didn't even understand what was going on. Was stupidly funny and made me cry from laughing so much. (0 more)
That there is no spin off to this series for the best friend. A couple of the character seem to have exactly the same personality but they just cranked up the bitchy-ness. (0 more)

So this series is amazing I laughed my head at at the antics that happened. The main character will make you want to scream at you book, phone what ever you read on because she seems to be blind to what happening with the guy she meets in the first chapter. The best friend is amazing I want to be her, she is a complete bitch and it's great.

This was a fun read, even for someone who has never read any of the Outlander series.

The book alternates between chapters telling us the story, and blog posts that Emma writes as she goes along. The blog posts are short and sweet, and sometimes provide a little insight into things that have not yet been fully disclosed in the story.

I did feel that the heroine was a bit naive for 29. I often wanted to yell into the book at her, and to point out how blind she was being, or how ridiculous some of her choices were. Even so, Emma is a likable character, and I couldn’t help but root for her and wish her success in her quest to find love.

NOTE: I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm a sucker for a good romance/love story and, for me, this was just that.

I loved it from the start, when Lori's worrying over meeting Ander and phoning her cousin for advice, to finish, when they are taking things slow and explaining certain points about their times together.

It was funny in places and romantic.

Reading how Ander's changed as he got to know her more was really sweet but Lori was a bit too blind to it from early on and I wanted to scream at her. She eventually realised but by then she was determined to push him away... *sigh* Lori...

Everything worked out in the end, though, so yay!

I devoured this in one sitting, which shows just how into the book I was (finishing it at 1am this morning), and I look forward to reading more from the author.
