I first watched this as a bright eyed primary school child of the ripe age of 10. I remember thinking how strange a programme it was and that I hadn't seen anything like it before. Granted, I was stuck watching barbie and disney movies with my younger sisters but you get my point. This programme single handedly introduced me to death. And is very likely the reason I love horror and thriller movies now.
Don't get me wrong, this show was about love and very much a comedy. There was very little gore if any and from what I remember, I only saw one bloody face. The worst part was probably the dog dying in the beginning or the fact that the ML and FL can't even kiss because she will cease to live(again).
What I loved most about this show was how fantastically stupid it was, as much as I would have loved more seasons I'm really not suprised it only had 2. Have you ever wanted to see a man able to bring the dead to life with his touch fall in love with a dead ex girlfriend? Oh and he helps solve crime with his cop friend? Oh, and the dead stay alive for a minute unless someone replaces them? Well, this is the show for you! And its exactly as it sounds. Amazing!

Skye (14 KP) rated The Cuckoo's Calling in Books

A good detective mystery.
The Cuckoo's Calling is a great first book in the Cormoran Strike series. I greatly enjoyed the mystery and putting together the clues. The book was a little long winded and dragged in areas with quite a few red herrings. However, book and it's mystery are good enough to keep you hooked throught the parts that drag. This book is definately for those who love a good detective mystery, but not so much for those who like thrillers. I personally will be reading the following books in the series based on this debute.
Rickey A. Mossow Jr. (689 KP) rated Isn't It Romantic (2019) in Movies
May 21, 2019
Fun (yet muddled) film with a good message.
Like its obvious cousin I Feel Pretty, Isn't It Romantic has a message to give its audience. From the opening scene, you know what that message is and where this story is going. And that's the point. While some of the jokes don't quite land and the movie seems to run just a bit longer in spots than necessary, Rebel Wilson does her usual comedic best to carry the film. A final twist plainly smacks the viewer with the moral of the film and finally concludes predictably. While muddled in spots, love the message of the film and had some fun.

Nice heart warming story
Romantic comedies are not my usual read but I felt like a change. And I'm very glad I gave it a try, it was a very easy read as it was full of good scene setting description character build ups and an interesting back story too. Well worth the read, even if you're not a romcom reader.
The story is about Katy who is a wedding photographer with her own business who was left struggling after a family betrayal. Katy learns to trust and eventually love again. There are ups and downs that keep you glued to the book from beginning to end!

Love. I'm hosting a book giveaway on my blog, so check it out. Here is the first paragraph of my review: Happiness, when you have a chronic illness it seems like an impossible defeat. Although Lee’s book is not geared towards those of us who have chronic illness. I still learned a great many things. Even her suggestions were helpful, at least for me they were. They reminded me of some key things in my life that I would do to thank Jesus for things, to express my happiness to those around me, and even to be content in who I am in Jesus.
