Acting is brilliant. Story is great. I love that there's humour. (0 more)
Humour/Intrigue/Darkness
It's dark. It's funny. It's shocking. An obsession/unconventional love affair between criminal and agent. Worryingly makes you like a character that is a complete sociopath. Irresistible watch!

"If I put Casablanca on I’ll sound like AFI, right? [laughs] Here’s the thing: there are all the choices you can make that you know sound really good and then there’re the ones that you really watch, like a hundred times. Like Paulie, the film with the parrot — but if I put that on my list I’m gonna look like an idiot. [laughs] You must see Paulie! I know you think I’m crazy. I love Paulie. I have these films that my younger brother’s like, “Amy, you’re gonna love this — you have to watch this film.” He introduced me to Paulie. There’s a whole bunch of people in Paulie: there’s Gena Rowlands, Jay Mohr, Cheech; the guy from Monk, Tony Shalhoub, who’s one of my favorites. It’s such a touching story. I hope I haven’t built it up too much. [laughs]"

"You know, I like Chariots of Fire. I always liked that one. I like the [line], “When I run, I feel His pleasure.” I can’t get enough of that. I’m a sucker for the [soundtrack]. I love the whole thing. Running with purpose. That was a good one."

"I didn't give them the time of day until I was probably in my thirties. I've learnt that a lot of the records that you love are things that you grew up with and really excited you when you were a kid. But there a few things that creep in later on, when you realise the greatness. I could've put in Bridge Over Troubled Water, but I didn't at the last minute, because the back end of that record doesn't do as much for me. Whereas the clunkily-titled Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme has got a lot of more of the tunes from them - I mean I just really love Simon And Garfunkel, I couldn't quite pin down the album that I wanted to put in. I think this is the one with most of the songs on it that I love. I'm generally quite a contrary person and I don't like to be told what I like. There's always people telling me "oh, you've got to hear this, it's really great and you'll love it". It's like, "How the hell do you know what I will love?" Music is such a personal thing, you can't tell other people what they will like and what they will love. People have given me things that they think I will love and I've just thrown them out the window of my car I've hated them so much. But this is the exception that proves the rule. I think my favourite is 'Feelin' Groovy' - I could say one of the more arty ones, but I like that one the best [laughs]!"

"Oh, you know what I love? I’m going to give you one of my holiday movies that I love, that I can’t stop watching. It goes on marathon every year. That’s A Christmas Story. That’s like on marathon all damn day. And I’ve watched that movie ten times. My favorite scene is when the dogs run in there and eat that damn turkey, man. I tell you, I’m in hysterics, man. That is one of my favorite movies."

"The harmony of music with the simplistic style of telling that story, as a framework for it, and then the acting… It’s like bringing Broadway — true Broadway — to the desert. Picking up a little naturalism from the desert. I believed Carl Anderson; believed every word of him, every frown, every inflection of his eyebrow. I love musicals. Always have. I think you have to tell a full story; it’s like asking someone, “Do you like black and white films?” or “Do you love 3D?” Music creates that third dimension."

A zombie outbreak happens around the world and the survivors must find a cure. I love that this is different then other zombie movies. I love that it is nonstop and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
