It’s taken me longer than I would like to admit to write this review, but that is only because I feel that I cannot properly express what I truly want to say.

In reality, I feel there is little I can say that I didn’t say about Altaica. The characters are well written, the world interesting, reminiscent of Tolkien and the like, and the storyline engaging. However, while I loved Altaica , Asena Blessed completely blew it out of the water. After reading Asena Blessed, I realize that Altaica is just a tease, the tip of the iceberg. It’s like comparing a shake to a sundae. Both are delicious, but there are more ingredients to enjoy in the sundae. The characters, geography, and plot introduced in the first novel are more developed and fleshed out. We learn more about the mythology and event going on in the world the story is set in.

Normally, I don’t like cliffhangers, but with Joyce’s Altaica’s it just makes me hunger for more. I read it in one sitting and I felt like I lost a friend once I finished Asena. I cannot wait for the next installment. If you are a fan of Tamora Pierce, you will love this series.

"Pixies are my favourite band, I've definitely listened to them more than any other band. It was hard to pick a song, I ended up just closing my eyes and pointing because I didn't really know which one to pick. With Pixies I feel there's just so much there; all the stopping and starting and the screaming and Kim Deal - Kim Deal's voice and Kim Deal's basslines - and all the weird timings, the freaky lyrics that don't make any sense and the loud and quietness of how they play. They've been a really huge inspiration to me. When I listen to Pixies I feel like music can be anything, it made me stop worrying what a song is gonna turn into. Before The Big Moon I always used to try and write songs and I never really got anywhere. I used to listen to music that was more polished and finished and I'd compare my music to that and just feel like ""Ugh! I'm never gonna be as good as them."" But Pixies sound so free and wild. They prove that music can go anywhere and if you feel like turning around and playing a different timing and completely different music suddenly, you can just do that. I love how surprising their music is. All four of them have their own brilliant thing going on: the drums are really cool and sometimes jazzy, Joey Santiago’s guitar lines are amazing, he's also got that ugly, gnarly guitar thing going on that I love – loads of bending, clashy notes. And Frank Black as well! No one screams like that. I think they're all amazing but I guess Kim Deal has a special place in my heart because there's just something about her, she's so fucking cool. Her voice doesn't sound like anyone else's, it's so pure and so smooth, she's a huge inspiration."

Love the new librarians. (0 more)
Contains spoilers, click to show
While watching this season it became apparent very quickly that it was a story that in some ways branched off from the film. The original librarian was off on his own adventure and this season was very much about the the three new ones and the guardian. There is a math wiz with a grape in her brain that gives her a 3D out of brain view of all things math which makes it easier to solve puzzles, there is a thief that can get in any where and also a architect/art history buff that can tell you what anything art related is or where it came from. Basically they have gotten the key aspect of the original librarian and split it in to three people and enhanced it by a thousand. If you like love mystery, action or just a good laugh there is every thing in this program.

Controversial but popular podcast
Sword and scale is a bit like marmite. You either love it or hate it.
Whatever you think, this crime podcast narrated by Mike Boudet is a hugely popular show in term of active listeners.
It really does draw you in and you have plenty of episodes to go through. Sword and scale is to the point and can be a bit insensitive or biased.
It's usually the host that draws the controversy. However in my mind the solution is simple. If you are easily offended don't listen..

What do you do when the love of your life is almost kidnapped by druggies? You do everything you can to convince her to come home with you, of course. Which is exactly what Simon does with Kara. But even with Kara reluctantly living with Simon again, things aren’t perfect. Kara won’t accept anything less than a relationship and Simon is still trying to figure out how to be in one. Can Simon put his past behind him so he can finally have happiness with Kara?

Like Mine for Tonight and Mine for Now, Mine Forever is a fantastic erotic romance. I like it even better than the second one because aside from getting Kara to move in with Simon again, the under-developed druggie plot has all but disappeared. and Kara is showing that she’s not willing to take any crap from Simon, even refusing sex until he opened up to her about his past. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of hot sex scenes that can make you blush, but Kara still needs Simon to open up.

And Simon, despite being an alpha male, is still awkward and endearing. 15479193670_d73f1ff314_mIt’s really obvious that he has no idea what to do in a relationship, to the point of absurdity. I mean, you have to be living under a rock not to know that flowers and chocolates are basic gifts for Valentine’s Day. As much as I like an awkward love interest, I really didn’t like how Simon handled Valentine’s Day. Getting help from his female employees is good and so is being nervous and wanting to make things right with Kara, but buying an entire carload of Valentine’s Day merchandise? That was a little to ridiculous for me. First of all, it’s unrealistic. Nervous binge-shopping and being a billionaire don’t go hand in hand. Binge-shopping leads to a broke hoarder real quick, I don’t care how high your salary is. Second of all, does he even know Kara? She’s hardly a material girl. Why would a large quantity of material goods make her happy? But Simon does express his love with gifts, so I guess that does fit.

We finally learn how Simon got his scars in this book. The suspense had actually been killing me to find out and the reason did not disappoint. Honestly, I’d have relationship problems too if I went through the same thing. And now that he’s opened up to Kara he can finally begin healing for real.

This book is one of my favorites of the series, right up there with the first one. You can’t find it by itself anymore. You’ll have to buy the entire Billionaire’s Obsession series. But if you like contemporary romance that flirts with the erotica genre, then you’ll like this series.

"You can hear it's making, in the same way you can hear Joni in her lonely love cabin. Just the idea of the moon cast out on the water. That paints a picture. I can hear excitement and new love all over that Melody's Echo Chamber record. When my last relationship ended a few years ago now, I pissed off to New York for a bit, just to sort of gather my thoughts, and I would take to sitting in a cafe with my headphones on, listening to a piece of music and I had put together words to it in a book. And I remember being quite pleased with something I had just written, taking my headphones off, and that music, Melody's Echo Chamber, was playing on the sound system in the cafe. I listened to it, spellbound, you could just feel the excitement in it. I was listening to that, and I just looked away, who is this? And I shut my book and felt like giving up music. It was just so fucking good. And actually at the end of a tune, you hear them all whooping in the studio. It's like when you hear the Kinks whooping during 'Victoria' – when you're hitting a certain level of energy, bang on the nose, you're allowed to record yourself whooping at your own efforts I think."

Who knew finding an alien life form on another planet wasn't going to end badly. Well I would think everyone. I like that they also told the whole world that they found it too, and they gave it a name. If you know anything about finding an animal, once you give it a name its harder to let it go. The other problem is if it does get to earth an cause chaos now you know who to blame.

This movie was just like every other alien movie out there. I don't think I saw one surprise the whole time. The end was sort of, but you could have seen it coming. The one thing that I did like was the alien itself. How it grew, how it fed and how smart it was. Usually you don't get that from a alien movie. Its mostly seek and destroy.

The acting was just ok. For the cast that was chosen I think it could have been better. Also I thought there should have been a love story with a couple crew members, it would have added a little more drama. I also think if you send a team to space they really should have all been on the same page with firewalls.

I liked the graphics and the CGI. The way it was filmed was cool too. Being able to film the whole movie with it looking like they were in space was great. I thought you could totally believe they were floating around.

I think this movie could totally have a sequel if they do it correctly. Because they include the Earth at the beginning of the movie, I think it would be cool to find out what happened.

As far as alien movies go, it wasn't the worst. It was entertaining. I would say if you are looking for something sci-fi to watch or you just like the cast, go for it. As always, enjoy the show.
