TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated Beholden (The Fairest Maiden #1) in Books
Feb 23, 2021
Well, I really do, especially clean, romantic, mentality stimulating, and engaging ones. Beholden hits all the right notes for me. The quote I shared above sums up and yet barely scratches the surface of the emotions and actions of the characters of this book. Vilmar and Gabrilella have such care for each other and the others around them, they are tested and grow visibly as characters throughout the book. I was sad to see the story end. You have no idea how much. But I am hoping the next book in the series keeps giving my glimpses of these two wonderful characters! And lets not even start on this amazing cover!
I could rave about this book all day, but Id rather you read it to! 5 out of 5 stars for this beautiful retelling of Cinderella’s Story.

TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated The Amish Cookie Club (The Amish Cookie Club #1) in Books

This book was a great start to a new series, I loved the reactions of the characters to the things that happened throughout the book. They were very believable, and they made me want to bake cookies :) .
I thought Myrna was a good character and I loved the play between her and Zeke, I wish it would have been a longer story as I didn't want it to end :)
The only thing that I didn't particularly like was all the bouncing around between the characters, however it was still a great story, and I would definitely recommend adding it to your TBR Pile. I can't wait to read the next book in the series !! I really love Sarah Price's Books :)
I volunteered to read this book from Kingston Books in exchange for my honest feedback, the thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Puddle Jumping (Puddle Jumping, #1) in Books

I'll start by saying that the only reason I read this was because of this reading list on BookLikes: http://booklikes.com/apps/reading-lists/146/books-to-fall-in-love-with
And let me tell you I'm glad I did because this was an awesome story of romance between a girl and a boy and how they deal with Asperger's. It wasn't told traditionally, it was told from Lilly's memories and it was amazing reading, seeing how she went about trying to make Colton fit in and be seen as normal.
I'll admit I cried for a good portion of the book near the end and up to the Epilogue I wasn't sure about how it was going to end. Luckily there was a HEA or I would have had to mark it down a few stars for breaking my heart.
Really good story.

3.75 stars.
I was going to give it a 3.5 rating until that last 10% or so when we meet Abby's mum. She's crazy but it was fun reading so I bumped it up a little.
I'll admit it was a bit of a crazy story but it was written in such a way that I didn't want to put it down. Abby came across as a little nutty, but fun young woman while Brodie was this tough, brooding mercenary. It seemed unlikely that anything would happen but boy did it.
Reading their relationship happen was quite fun but I have to admit some of the story just seemed a little unreal.
Nevertheless I liked it.

blueirisfox (125 KP) rated the PC version of Final Fantasy XIV Online: Heavensward in Video Games

I completed this expansion around five months ago, and I am still reeling over it.
I love this story so much. It really has a special place in my heart that I'm never giving up to anything else.
I even started learning Dragonsong on piano before I got to this expansion because it sounded so pretty, and now I just want to cry every time I hear it.
There are characters from this expansion that are still my favourites, and they probably always will be.
The new jobs/classes introduced in this expansion are so fun to play as well. I literally switched over to machinist as soon as I found out that I could play it.
Overall, this expansion is amazing. Please play it. Please.
