Weaving of multiple pantheons into a clear story (0 more)
The tide crests
This is my probably my favorite or at least top 2 in a fairly long series. This is where I feel like the authors voice becomes solid and some of the small writing issues in the first few books are put behind him. The ability to write in multiple pantheons and weave them around each other, without compromising each other, starts to truly show itself. Plus I love the fae as they are portrayed in Jim's version, and as the series goes on, all the characters only get more depth and interesting for their secrets.

The Screech Owls are back with a new adventure and lesson. I love how [Roy MacGregor] mixes hockey with a life lesson in his books. In [Reality Check in Detriot] the team is asked to be on a reality show but they quickly learn that reality tv isn't that real.

The characters that [MacGregor] creates all blend well and keep a good balance in the story. Although I personally can't stand Nish and his ego but he is typical of boys that age. Travis is a good balance. I will be passing this book off to my niece to read and recommending that my school library get it at well.

Good have been so much better!

Two years after her folk singer husband’s death husband widow is still grieving for him. A writer tries to get in touch with her to research her late husband for his book. In the end they collaborate.
I found the female character quite unlikeable, zero chemistry between the two leads and a story that really goes nowhere. A possible subplot of whether the singer had actually committed suicide is not explored and I think it would’ve made a much better film if they’d gone down that route rather than the cliche of the two leads falling in love. Disappointing.

A good detective mystery.
The Cuckoo's Calling is a great first book in the Cormoran Strike series. I greatly enjoyed the mystery and putting together the clues. The book was a little long winded and dragged in areas with quite a few red herrings. However, book and it's mystery are good enough to keep you hooked throught the parts that drag. This book is definately for those who love a good detective mystery, but not so much for those who like thrillers. I personally will be reading the following books in the series based on this debute.

All shock no substance for me
I have a very love-hate relationship with AHS I continue to watch every season but I never actually enjoy it, I feel for the most part they all go for as much shock as they can but no real story because they try and pull everything into ten different directions without actually really getting into anything.

Season 1 for me was the one that did this the most there were so many stories going on and I never really cared about any of them, I kind of just kept watching to see what crazy crap was going to happen next.

Loved it
Well where to begin?

At first I thought this would be a generic rewrite of Beauty and the Beast- but, while it holds hints of the fairytale, it is completely it's own thing.

The characters seem extremely realistic to me, they have depth and interesting backstories. The descriptions of the areas within the story are so well written that I find myself picturing them easily and whisking I could be there.

I love the surprising twists and turns that the plot takes it isn't predictable and that makes me want to read more.

Overall I adore this book.

Magical read
I read this book a while ago and it popped up here. I remember loving the book so much that afer I borrowed it to read from my sister who recommended it, I ran out and bought it in paperback and an electronic copy for my Nook. The has a fast paced plot and storyline that never looses momentum. The story keeps you on your toes as well. It is incredibly well written, creating a picture in your mind of the scenery, charachters and more.
Overview- set in the past, 2 youths are trained to be competing magians in a circus but fall in love.

1,2 Freddy is coming for you
I love the original film and while I think a remake wasnt needed, certianly not one that involved Micheal Bay, but Freddy maybe needed to be updated.
However mid way through this film they had a chance to tweek Freddys back story, make him a character you could sympthaize with but thats far too much like thinking for a Micheal Bay film.
Jackie Earl Haley follows up his turn as Rorasach in Watchmen with a very creepy performance as Freddy.

Not just for kids!
I'm not interested in the first 2 films, but having kids I've been subjected to watch them. So when they realised the 3rd film was out, obviously we had to go and watch it instantly. But OMG how good?! From start to finish it had such an easy story line to follow. Its got so many life lessons in, such as losing a parent, people having limbs missing, forming friendships and relationships. It's got such a lovely ending. I cried. But then I love a good ending so?‍♀️ but honestly if you like I feel good cartoon it's worth the wTch

A Beautiful Tale That Brings to Light the Darkened Truths
An absolutely beautiful story that sadly holds too much basis in today's world. This film tackles a lot of dangerous topics that many are too scared to address. It allows you to really get into the head of those who sadly go through these events and allows to really see the hidden racism that is spread throughout our culture. I have fallen in love with this film and truly believe that whether you actually enjoy it or not, it's a film that everyone needs to see at least once.
