Horror in the Woods

First they found a desecrated body…
… then hell followed.
Four friends spend a weekend hiking in the woods, getting back to nature, never imagining they would end up being hunted.
But they soon stumble into the territory of the sick and twisted Webb family—psychopaths with a taste for human meat. And these monsters are hungry.
Will the group make it out of the woods alive? To do so, they will have to face these cannibals head-on, and unravel the secret behind the twisted family’s very existence.
You will love this brutal, gory, and violent horror story, because it raises the tension on every page and will leave you exhausted and drained.
Honestly it was well written,a strong story and decent characters. Also it was very middle of the road when it comes to these types of stories. I knew Tim was one of the from the Start it was made quite obvious. Overall a good and gory if not predictable.

TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated Hannah's Courage in Books
Feb 24, 2021
This is my first time reading a book by Molly Jebber and it was an interesting experience. I liked how Molly Jebber was not afraid to show her character's mistakes. Hannah, in particular, took her mistakes and used them to take time and listen to God’s calling on her life, in doing so she was able to help others in need. Timothy seemed like a good guy caught between a rock and a hard place. He had some problems to overcome and he overcame them in an interesting way. I personally did not like how both main characters seemed to blow things way out of proportion to the situation, and how they were not very brave. The story plot was interesting, I love anything to do with baking, and the setting was also interesting. Overall, I would say this was a good read, but not my favorite.
I give this book 3 out of 5 stars, for the interesting storyline, the story of hope, and the happily ever after ending.
*I volunteered to read this in return for my honest feed back. The thoughts and opinions expressed within are my own.

This is one of the oldest books still on my Kindle - from 2017 - so it's about time I read it.
It starts with Haley and her friends meeting up to decide what to do the day before graduation. They play pool and meet up with her boyfriend, Seth, and his friends for a few games before heading home to get ready for the big party that's happening. Things don't go well at the party, though, and when Seth disappears Haley and her friends search for him only to end up in a car accident. Fast forward a year and both Haley and Seth find themselves in the same place at the same time and Seth decides to try and make amends for what happened.
I'll admit I wasn't entirely into this. The characters were rather immature at times and how they acted really began to put me off the story. I didn't really gel with the romance or the storyline but I was intrigued about who was behind the accident so I continued to read.
This is a story of love, friendship, forgiveness and second chances. It just didn't work for me.

In the first Science Fiction by Erin Kellison I have read, we have a wedding, politics, love, betrayal and goodness knows what else!
Mica left Sol five years ago to follow her dream, although this did mean leaving her lover behind. Simon had his own plans for Mica and himself that he never told her, pride and circumstance getting in the way. Things go well for Mica, but not so good for Simon. It is due to these circumstances that Simon shoots down Mica's craft, not knowing that she is the pilot. Choices have to be made by Mica and Simon - will they ever be able to trust each other, and be together, again?
This novella packs a punch as you have pretty much everything you could wish for. You get a back story, plot, and possible future. You learn about their political system, about the different categories of planets, and the different people who live on them. With plenty of action and adventure, this is a delightful first story in the Sol Sisters series. Definitely recommended by me.

I really, really want to give this 4 stars. However, my ratings don't just include how much I enjoyed the story, they also include how I feel about punctuation, misspelled words, and grammar. Honestly, that is the only thing keeping me from giving You Loved Me At My Darkest 4 stars. There were several misspelled words (and I am aware that some of these words are not spelled the American way - I do not considered these words misspelled), some places where words were missing, and a good amount of incorrect punctuation. However! I really, really enjoyed reading this book. Despite it being hard to keep up with perspective (mostly in the beginning), I was easily captivated and it wouldn't let go! The story was heartbreaking, but filled with so much fight and spirit. I didn't want to put it down. My heart beat in sync with Lily's. I felt her pain, I felt her fear, I felt her love. I was more reserved in allowing myself to completely trust Jake, more so than Lily was, but it was easy to see that there was something bigger going on. I definitely do not regret finding Evie's book!

Burt wants YOU to have his baby!
When a man decides that he wants a son but no wife, he looks for a surrogate to carry his child. Not as easy as he thought it would be, he finds a woman who is willing to help out. But as they get to know each other, life and love takes them down a road they never expected. For a film made in the early 80's (1981), most of the jokes and story plot is somewhat dated. The excellent cast (Burt Reynolds and Beverly D'Angelo) is a big highlight of the film. For many of those individuals who grew up watching movies in the early 80's and are fans of the cast will be drawn to the film. Parents and Parents-to-be will most likely understand the inside jokes. If your looking for a real good laugh, join Burt and Beverly as they prepare for parenthood in this early 80's jem...Paternity!!!

First off, I am SO looking forward to after that bit of the first chapter at the end of this. Colton Gamble, you are one smooth talker!! And I'm assuming it's been a few years between the last chapter and the epilogue wedding. So promising.
Now back to this. I liked the connection between Brandt and Sarah, it's been obvious for pretty much this entire series that they were going to get together at some point in the future and I loved how protective he was of her with he CP. They were pretty much everything to each other since they were 13!
I love how everyone made an appearance in this! Confusing knowing which child belongs to which parents but so cute reading about their antics.
This was another story in this series that at times, I struggled with in places. The mum thing had me cringing but equally hurting for him, the stroke had me annoyed--wondering if we were going to have a HEA at the end. I had my highs and lows with this story but the characters definitely end up tugging at my heart strings for one reason or another.
