A Bee Movie with a sting in the tale
It’s 1952 . Many married men have come back from the war forever changed. Life is financially tough for most families. In particular, attitudes to multi-racial relationships and (particularly) homosexuality are appalling, and never more so than in the small Scottish mill town where the film is set. The film charts a love story of two women thrown together due to a family break-up.

Vampires as you've never seen them before
I wasn't quite sure what to make of this book at first. Usually I like to read the blurb first to get an overview as what the book is about but that didn't reveal much which frustrated me as I like to know what I'm getting myself into... Emotional turmoil? Drama? Romance? (because I'm soppy). I love the twist the author placed on telling the story. No spoilers but to sum it up: a super smart but fairly young physics genius takes on vampires with the help of her housemates. If you want a dramatic but clever plot line as well in-depth characters that leave much to the imagination, you've got the right book.

Just rewatched this and was amazed by how well the special effects held up. I enjoyed going down memory lane and seeing Gary England on the TV (even if it was for like 2 seconds).
The film tells a slightly accurate if over exaggerated story about weather chasers. Some of the acting is over the top, and a few of the scenes are incredulous (like the flying cow, but that has happened before) with the main characters evading being killed and the plot gets a bit lost as they focus more on the tornadoes and the destruction they can cause. Love it or hate to like it, it's a disaster movie through and through that highlights the power and suddenness of the twister.
