I just couldn't get into this, the relationship just seemed to appear. They'd known each other all of about ten minutes before they kissed and were wanting to do more. Okay, I get sexual attraction and lust but I like a slow growing attraction and relationship in my mm romances and this wasn't that, or it didn't feel like it to me.

another fab read, this one is a little slower than the others but still a good read. the story line is fantastic and really well written. I just love the characters and they worked well together. this story contains lots of different emotions e.g. lust, love, fun and some heart break mixed all together makes a fantastic read.

B (62 KP) rated Eleanor & Park in Books

This book was everything I ever wanted in a romance thrown in with the reality and issues that are sadly so commonly found in the teenage generation. It was also what both Park and Eleanor needed in their lives. The romance was refreshingly simplisitic in a time so driven by lust which made it so very perfect. I 10/10 recommend this book to any lover of YA lit.

An utterly captivating story of finding love when you least expect.Lily is a fiery, compulsive vixen and Daniel is a devishly handsome rogue. But when put together they create a story of passion, fiery lust and overwhelming feeling unlike anything youve ever seen before..my only issue is the language. It wasnt really accurate for the time in history the book is set in.i love the plot, storyline and the characters personalities!

Dont judge a book by its cover
I thought I was really clever and sussed a twist but I was absolutely wrong. Emma Mason has bravely attempted a colloquial style novel, very hard to achieve well and yet achieves it with aplomb. Brilliant twisty narrative about twins and resentment leading to murderess blood lust. There are so many crime books it's refreshing to read something a little different. An incredible debut.

Despite being the second in the series, you dont need to read the first to enjoy this novel.
Overall, the novel wasnt terrible. I am not a fan of insta-lust nor people contradicting their morals with their actions. While there was chemistry between the leads, the insta-lust factor put me off. The erotic scenes were also a bit tame for my tastes. Filled with innuendos instead of being straightforward, I feel the erotic scenes would be more suited for someone who is put off but more vulgar language.
I also wasnt a fan of the authors writing style in general. Some part seems too long, dragging out unnecessarily or was just too flowery.
Bottom line, this is a historical romance meant for those who want a tamer historical romance. Honestly, it reminds of the novels that my grandma used to read, like Kathleen Woodiwiss and older Jude Deveraux.
