So this was a whole new genre for me.. It was very interesting and intriquing . The characters were alwways going non stop.. they had to do things in what seemed to be their own way. I had some issues following the characters for a couple of the authors but nothing that reading again didn't fix. It was very good and I"m very glad i got to review it

Something different
A decent mix of thriller and Horror as 2 kids pay a visit to grandparents they have never met before. There are a couple of scenes that will give a chill down the back of your neck. The only real downer was the finale was a little weak. With all M. Night Shymalan films though you know a twist is coming.

As good as the original
I had reservations when going to watch this as Blumhouses output has been patchy so far; also I love the black and white Claude Raines version as well.
No worries needed. The story is gripping m, brilliantly told from another angle and all those lingering camera shots of nothing (!?!) are so well done. Finally Elizabeth Moss was outstanding.
Nuff said, go watch
