The story we all heard in the womb

This is one of those books that you know the beginning, middle and end without even reading the book. I'm pretty sure I have never watched any of the film versions either but I already knew the storyline. It's a classic but because I already knew the plot, it removed some of the magic for me. However, this is a huge compliment to Dickens.

A novel with so much depth.

This is an intelligent book which is well crafted and written with such beautiful language. I loved the intensity between the cousins and the complicated relationship between the dead and the alive. The author knows how to bring characters to life and she does it so well. I can't wait to read her next novel. Buy this one. Seriously, it's magic.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this manga. It's like a love letter fused with history, myth, and magic, for libraries and the power that the books can hold and give to their readers. It's an interesting premise for a manga series. Once I got further into the book, I expected to feel bored, but it was written in a way that I didn't feel that. Plus, most of the art was beautiful.
