This book is even better than I remembered. The description and detail that have gone into the writing are superb. The circus itself is the main character in this and the depth of writing is truly wonderful and magical, it really makes you feel like you're in a circus and definitely makes you wish you could visit a similar one in real life! Whilst the characters themselves take a back seat to the actual circus, they're still well written and aside from a few, are all endearing characters. The plot itself is not quite what you'd expect and I feel like the only issues with this book are the slightly lacklustre ending and the constant jump in time periods that can get a little confusing. Aside from this though, I could not put this book down. It's hugely enjoyable and entertaining, and definitely worth a read.

The Lapis Moon which orbits the planet, is hit by a comet and destroyed, making all the mages and magical creatures powerless. Sander Bree, the mage to a powerful man, is just on his way to find a cure for his employers daughter when he’s rendered powerless. Nevertheless, he’s determined to keep his word.
Rosheen Katell is more of a freelance mage, and is blackmailed into working for a very bad man in order to save her younger brother. Rosheen and Sander find themselves working against one another. With the destruction of the Lapis Moon however, comes the rise of another power.
This was such a good story, and the ending was totally unexpected. I liked that the end seemed to be finished in a very definite way - although it could easily be turned into a series (but I rather like it as it is. The book world seems far to keen on never ending series just lately).
Many thanks to The Pigeonhole and Mark Stay for reading along!

I well and truly got lost in this emotional rollercoaster, the film opens with lady gaga In her very average job, she finishes her shift and goes to perform in a drag act/gay bar, here is where she sings her heart out and it just so happens a very drunk Bradley cooper is in there listening after he had just performed his own concert, it all stems from there you see how they get close and he brings her to all his gigs where she sings her songs on stage and she finally gets noticed and becomes a big star herself, but it's not all glamour and fame you see the ups and downs in a stars world with her husband on a downwards spiral abusing drugs and alcohol you see the struggle and see the love between them Both. Amazing story with a very unpredictable sad ending. Definitely worth the watch!
