Can someone recommend a new book series? I love Manga, fantasy fiction or horror books.

For a unique fantasy I have enjoyed Steven Brust's Vlad Taltos novels so far. Ace of Skulls by Chris Wooding is a good sci fi fantasyish book. (Think Firefly/Serenity).
