I *love* this game. I got it for my husband after we played with his siblings. We were laughing at the mini-games and how much we sucked (or didn't). (0 more)
The computers can be a evil or completely stupid, but that's why you should just bring more friends to play with you! (0 more)
Best. Game. Ever.
This game is so much fun. The maps are well animated in a classic Nintendo style. The mini-games are very fun and go between somewhat difficult and super easy, but the outcome never seems to be the same for one player. I just wish more people could play than just the four.

Keeping Track
A good little app for using if you are needing to keep track of walking/running/cycling as it monitors where you are going, the pace and the time and also the elevation if you have gone up or down a hill.
Really impressed with this app as it is easy to use and doesn't use up all of your battery when on the move. It keeps track of all your activity through out the month so you can then use this to motivate you to doing better than the month before.

Call Of Duty: United Front
Shooter
The third of four DLC packs for Call of Duty: WW2 has arrived for PC and Xbox One. United Front brings three new multiplay maps, a new War map, and a brand new chapter in the Zombie saga for players to enjoy.
The content first released on the PS4 which gives that platform a 30 day advanced released window over the other platforms.

The three maps are as follows…

Market Garden

Set during Operation Market Garden in The Netherlands, players must fight in and around Allied Headquarters which leads to several close-quarter battles. The kitchen is a very dangerous area and there are multiple places for enemies to hide in the shadows and strike.
If you like a run and gun style of play, this is the map for you.

Stalingrad

The snow-covered map is set in the factory district and provides raised areas, long range attacks, tunnels, and solid action. The detail level is good and using train cars to hide behind before launching an attack makes the map a great mix of gameplay styles.

Monte Cassino

This map set in Italy has players battle in a village and has some great tactical variation. From courtyards to rooftops, players can alternate between run and gun and distanced attacks. There is some great fun in shooting enemies from the roof and then jumping down to finish them off point blank.

Operation Supercharge

Set in Tunisia during the second battle of El Alamein players must build and defend bridges as they look to assault and defend a key train bridge. Anyone who has played the War mode knows what to expect as teamwork is the key for this mode and different play styles are well-supported.
The final part of the pack is the new Zombie chapter and it is very difficult even for experienced players.

The Tortured Path

Players make a last-ditch stand to fight the evil hordes but the ideal village where the game takes place offers few places to hide and narrow passages which makes players develop hit and run tactics as standing your ground does not work well.
I have played all of the Zombie modes to date and this one is very challenging. I have asked other players if I am wrong about this and they have all agreed that the map offers a very high challenge as not only are the enemies tougher and abundant; the weapons do not seem to do as must damage.
United Front is a nice selection of content which will increase the options for fans of Call of Duty: WW2. However some fans may find it is a mix of good but not great content that does not change greatly from what is already offered. The new maps are fun but they do not have a unique or quirky quality to them like some maps have.

map system is odd yet satisfying and interesting (1 more)
I like the theme
Point movement allowance system is fidgety and annoying (0 more)
A two player tactical game of exploring temples with a very interesting map system.
Imagine you are in ancient greece looking at a map for an ancient buried temple. The map say there are 2 forests to the north, and 2 volcanoes to the south, and 3 mountains to the west. Now you have to not only find that place, but to discover the mountains, forests, and mountains as well. You physically discover them by placing the tiles, so you actually are creating the physical landscape to match the maps. This is the most interesting part of the game in my opinion. There's also a market system to gaining money, and a point based movement system to get around, but getting around is relatively easy with water routes you can use to get pretty far quickly, So movement is not really a hinderance, and does feel a bit like cheating sometimes. it's really only when the water routes don't connect and you have to traverse the land that makes it hard to get around. But you have to create the map that way to cause it. Overall it's an interesting 2 player game with some good replayability and as you get better at building the maps you get better and quicker at the game. I enjoyed it enough to own it.

Emily (1430 KP) rated the PlayStation 3 version of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution in Video Games

Note this is for the same game as played on iOS, but wasn't able to select that as a platform.
This was an attempt to give a version of the Civilization games on a mobile platform. For me it just didn't work. Yes you had the key things from the main games such as City building, exploration and everything, but the sizes of the maps just made it impossible to move around after only a few short turns due to expanding rival cities blocking off the path.

I prefer to play a less warmongery style but you're forced into battling rivals in this version simply because you can't get anything done if you don't.

"Live at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. That song has been on heavy rotation since before I’ve been in the band – the girls love this song as well. Almost every song on here I’ve either introduced to or shared with them, other than Aphex – Emily played me that for the first time. I’ve never seen Depeche Mode live, although I’ve seen Dave Gahan play a benefit gig with John and Josh [Klinghoffer] for MAPS – which is a music programme for addicts. As close to Depeche Mode as I ever got. Still rockin, he’s still got the moves. This version beats the original – it just comes alive with masses of people singing at the end. "

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Reckoning
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare - Reckoning
Shooter
It is hard to believe that it is already time for the fourth and final DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare but the Reckoning DLC is here and completes Advanced Warfare in a big way.

The collection consists of four maps and the great finale of the Exo-Zombies series and is a very diverse and satisfying collection which can be purchased by itself or as part of a Season Pass.

The four maps are as follows…

Overwatch

Set in a luxury hotel, this map has plenty of courtyard battles and intense opulence to house your action. The highlight for me is seeing the Plasma Fountains ignite and using them to torch enemies that get in the kill zone.

The map has an emphasis on medium and long ranged combat so be prepared for plenty of sniping and camping when you enter the fray.

Quarantine

This was a really creative and fun map that was set in a Bio Lab where players have to battle amongst the labs and parking lots all the while avoiding an incinerator that comes on line during prolonged battles.

The close quarters really is great for Run and Gun players who want to reach the score streak and unleash and assault of ship-fired rounds on their enemies.

Fracture

Battling on an ice flow complete with drilling rigs and tubing Is a logistical challenge in and of itself. Now add in cracking ice, plenty of areas for enemies to hide and strike from and you will see why this is a real action-packed zone.

This was the first map that I played in the collection and I can say it is always one of my favorites when its turn in the rotation arises.

Swarm

This map is a real challenge as it has very close-set buildings and areas for enemies to hide and strike from. The long streets and numerous windows and ledges make this a place where ranged shooters, snipers, campers, and more thrive. It can be frustrating but getting the drop on a row of shooters who are waiting for the next person on the street below to come into range is highly satisfying.

Of course the maps are not the only thing this collection offers as the star-studded Exo-Zombies campaign comes to a conclusion as you battle deep in the heart of an underwater city against an unending legion of Undead.

I got right up to the end my second time playing it before our team was taken out but it was a very enjoyable and intense experience.

The Reckoning does not try to reinvent the wheel but instead focuses on giving core fans of the series more of what they love, intense action and new and creative ways to take down other players in detailed maps with plenty of challenge.

While it will not convert you if you were not a fan of Advanced Warfare, it will be a satisfying chapter for those who are fans.

If you are a fan of Star Wars, especially of the new interconnected canon, this book is for you. Including a timeline, a who's who of important figures in the Star Wars universe, information on the more important planets in the Star Wars galaxies, and then more detailed maps of the areas of importance on each of these planets, this books has a little bit of everything to help you map out the where/when/who of the new canon. Very informative and artistically detailed, this is an excellent addition to any Star Wars fan's library. I'm hoping that as future movies, books, and cartoons are released, they will release updated editions of this book to include the new locales. A Star Wars geek's dream!

An unsung masterpiece
This game is one of my absolute favorites. Its quiet, unsettling, and nerve-wracking. I like to describe it as a mixture between Battleship, Minesweeper, and The Thing. Humans are racing to outrun aliens on a shared map system. Random chance allows you to bluff or biff making noises as you try to escape. Can you fool the aliens into believing the fake sounds or will they track you down? Who is an alien anyway?! The addition of item cards and secret identities take the game to the next level. I love the malfunctioning escape pod too. This is a perfectly distilled minimalistic horror game and I AM HERE FOR IT.

Logical upgrade on Scotland Yard- having a map the criminal can look at, rather than getting caught out looking at the shared map to determine where to go next and giving away their position. (0 more)
Would be good to have more counters of varying colours - to help the police in their investigations... Or alternatively printed maps that they can write on to help them remember what they've asked. (0 more)

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Hidden movement games are a particular type of game that really stand alone.

So many options for how to strategise as Jack, that this game has comes down to the smallest of clues until the end.

Very challenging as Jack, but highly enjoyable on both sides of the law.
