Garthowen (A Story Of A Welsh Homestead) by Allen Raine
This is a gentle story, written and based in the 1800's. It is about one family and their homestead and the people that they meet along the way. It is an interesting view back into what "Old" Wales might have been like, the scenery and the viewpoints. There is a love story within this book but it doesn't dominate.

If you like a gentle story and historical fiction, if you like Wales, then this story is for you.

The action continues from the first book, and the Wasp Empire is on the march, first to the Ant city of Tark and then to Collegium itself.
With his warnings still not being heeded, Stenwold Maker takes matters into his own hands.
My favourite character here is Felise Mienn, the eponymous dragnonfly. She is hunting down Wasp Thalric whom she believes killed her children. The conflict between them, and how the other characters become embroiled becomes one of the best themes of the series, especially with its conclusion and what that means for the series as a whole.

Final Destination (2000)
2000 | Horror, Mystery
Released 17 years ago in March 2000, Final Destination revolutionised the teen-slasher genre for 00s after Scream did so well for the 90s generation of horror buffs.

The premise was perfectly realised as high-school students tried their best to cheat death after a horrific disaster. The plane sequence in this film still holds up today and remains one of the best horror moments in the last couple of decades.

The acting on the other hand, left a lot to be desired. Though a young Devon Sawa was a magnetic leading presence.
